The best gift I ever received was a handmade journal with mine and my husband's initials on it (he was my fiance at the time). Inside the journal he wrote out a ton of the text messages we sent each other when we were falling for each other. It was so heartwarming that he understood the sentiment. It made me cry. I've kept it as a keepsake and will forever.

I do the stash thing with luxury makeup, umbrellas, books, perfumes, candles, etc., whenever there is a sale I buy a lot, it has been such a good strategy because during the year there are holidays, dinner invites or birthdays that I totally forget. Also the olive oil or gourmet gifts has been really successful for me. Great video, Anna, very classy as usual. Love you!

My husband is wealthy af. When I spent my first Christmas with him I had NO CLUE WHAT TO GET HIM. I thought about functional items. My husband uses alot of leather folders for work. So I got him a custom leather folder with alot of pockets. He loves pockets. He always complained the leather folder never had enough pockets. He WORE THE HECK out that poor folder. 😭

Ladies, I am TELLING you!!! Its Biologique Recherche!!! Trust me, it is THE best skin care brand I have ever found!!! Its also what Anna uses!!! If you don't live near a location that sells it and cannot have a skin consult and recommended products, you can still call and describe your skin and get recommended products through the mail!!!!!!!!!! They are so low key, you never see ads or influencers getting sponsored cuz they dont need to!!!!! I mean, just look at Anna's skin, that is advertisement enough!!! Also, Tati LOVES the Lotion P50, Abby Bliss White uses them, Andrea Ali had a woman on her channel as a makeup model who uses them and she has THE most beautiful skin. Just go through KZbin videos where people talk about it and you will see what I mean about "Biologique Recherche skin". Sorry for the ramble ladies🤣🤣 I just love the products and have never been so amazed by a brand before!!

Understandable, agree, remember, these are suggestions for gifting a meaningful token to someone who is well-off (with whom you wish to make a good impression on). The price point and gifts here-in are spot on for social expectations; the acquaintance (or married couple) who invites you/your companion over to their house (perhaps, often), may have also at some time treated you to lunch/an event/day on their sailboat/flight in their plane(to enjoy the pleasure of your company, knowing you may not be able to afford the menu at their chosen restaurant/pastime). :)

For my aunts, uncles, and cousins on my dad's side of the family: we usually send each other high quality food baskets of cheese, meats, desserts, pears, etc. It works well when you're gifting folks who already have a lot of luxury items and want to keep the holidays as clutter-free as possible. I'm going to look into buying some of that olive oil. Thanks for this wonderful video!!!

With some imagination you can adapt these tips to your budget. In my local department store I can get cashmere blend socks for 20£, great looking bottles of olive oil for 12£, beautiful leather accessories like keyrings or belts for under 30£ and lovely candles for the home for 12£. These are my go-to's but look around your area for more ideas. Wine accessories are usually affordable too: if you can't afford a crystal decanter, go for the corkscrew or little aereator. My personal tip is to go to the nicest supermarket in your area for gifts, like a gourmet shop. You can usually get unique stuff like chocolates, wines, tea, olive oils, etc on a budget

Take a post-it. Write on it: "What would it take for me to increase my income? How can I live a more affluent life?" Live with the question... Just to give you an idea: In the past 7 years, my income has multiplied by 6. And by the looks of it by next year it will be x33 compared to 7 years ago. Allowing me to earn over a million a year (without any passive income) Just by using my business sense and offering the market what it's looking for. The only one setting the boundaries is you. Truely.

Several years back I was brainstorming what to bring to a 50th birthday party, and decided upon a bonsai set in a porcelain pot. I find bonsai graceful and uplifting, and always unique. As an added bonus, they’re gender-neutral, quite affordable, and a beautiful addition to any decor. Moreover, in Asian cultures they’re said to bring good fortune - a lovely sentiment to convey on special occasions.Thank you for your thoughtful suggestions which often resonate with my own sensibilities. Kindest regards for your efforts at encouraging a gentler culture.🌳

Speaking about art-loving people - coffee table books are a great choice for them too! Especially, photography & fashion centered. A lot of beautiful images to appreciate by a creative person. Artists also appreciate “bougie” versions of everyday things e.g. the Hermès card deck, for example. They’re like modern art pieces in and of themselves.

Yasmeen Hashmi spare blankets in the car are SUCH a good idea! Once, I was on a road trip with my bff and I surprised her with a sunset sailing trip... only, it was after visiting a winery where we’d had waaayyy too much fun lol. So, we missed the boat. HOWEVER, all was not lost! I whipped out a blanket and we set up a picnic at the marina with the wine we’d just scored and fresh fish takeout dinners from the store on the dock. It was PERFECT! Literally everyone who passed by our setup said they were jealous, so we entertained ourselves eating, drinking, chatting with strangers, and watching the sunset 😊

Gifting olive oil, wines, vinegars, nuts, cheeses, crackers, bread, especially sweetbreads or others made by you including baked goods and other items along these lines are somethings I have given to people. These work just as well for acquaintances. The table book.idea as well as books period are good to give. What has helped me in my gift giving is observation. Being aware of the things people like; their interest, style and taste in clothing, home decor, fragrances, etc. If they talk about something they are interested in that gives me a clue into what they like and or want. Trips are wonderful, but tickets for some event is an excellent gift and one that keeps on giving, because the person will tell others and talk about it for the rest of their life. When they think of that event, they think of you. Season tickets to the Opera, concert series, ball games, the possibilities are endless.

I’m not sure how appreciative someone would be if they found out I was giving an impersonal gift to them. I think it would work for acquaintances, but friends and family might not agree with the butler. When the word gets around that you’re gifting everyone the same item, someone in your circle will feel slighted. It is the thought given that impresses.(imho). I agree that gadgets for men are the best. Brookstone is a great store to shop.

So I went to a stationary store and bought things that I would actually love to have, a diy bullet journal with stickers, patterned paper or cardstock, and beautiful illustrations on it. She was so excited when she opened her gift! She was practically jumping off the walls because she wanted to open everything right away. She told me later on that she was really grateful that I was able to find something that she really loved, and that she started to fix her bujo that same night.

I worked for a high-end male barber shop and we have a lot of rich and affluent men who come in and buy high-end shaving creams, pre-shave oils, after shaves and emulsions. Usually you want to look for the Italian and British brands.

I agree with your choices.. I have used several of them myself or were gifted some. I took a chance for a brother, who has pretty much everything he wants, and got the nice wallet. He had just been busy with his business and not stopped to get a new one.. When he opened my gift he said "oh thanks!" and in front of everyone pulled out his welled used and stuffed wallet and began transferring it to the new one immediately! Also my children have gifted me quality scented candles with an elegant crystal piece to go with it that I truly enjoyed. I have gifted lady friends the elegant scarves which were perfect and used by them. I also love the olive oil idea and art or art glass or porcelain pieces. Listening for what people like to collect is a big one. Lots of very nice ideas! 👍💗

Ha ha ! I think it's only considered "elderly" by the people under 35 !! If it can make you feel a little better, I just hit 30 and to me 50 does not put you in the "elderly" box ! :) Besides, to me age is just a number. Because we can be old in our minds at 35, and young and fulfilled at 60... ;)

I believe she clarified by saying anyone senior to the giver; so elderly can include parents, teachers, neighbors etc. I think she meant elders, which is anyone older than the giver, but english is not Anna's first language.

I had to chuckle when you mentioned coffee table books. I have been addicted to coffee table books on classic movies and movie stars since I received my first one for Christmas at the age of 10. Now, around 40 years later, the pile of them is taller than I am but I still can’t resist them. At least once every year I spot one that my life will be incomplete without. It’s certainly always a safe gift for me.

Great ideas, thank you! If you don’t mind, another gift for someone you know well, that is inexpensive but is highly impressive is a beautifully framed photo you have taken. It can be a landmark hometown photo for your lifelong friend, a photo of something or unique place you both vacationed. I am NOT talking about PHOTOS OF PEOPLE. Make it interesting, an old church in shadow, a photo of a gazebo glazed in the first snow inside the park u both grew up by, an old building in the woods you came across on a hike... Truly unlimited. When the friend opens the gift not only does it take them down memory lane, it’s as personal as u can get and very thoughtful.

I love that you embrace your fair complexion and your colors of cosmetics are so flattering. All too often, I think Bronzers are over used and quite unnecessary, creating a very aged look. You're a great example that tanned or darker isn't always better looking and when you master your natural tone with color appropriate shades, it's "Cherub" looking

One year I bought 8 sets of very high end knives (bc they were running a special where the price per set went down the more sets u bought) , and gave them to family and friends. Everyone loved them, and they were a gift that keeps giving , as they were very high quality , and something people could use for years to come. And so glad U mentioned it! Coffee table and art books have also long been a go-to item for me to purchase as holiday and birthday gifts! Generally affordable, and something every person who comes into the recipient’s home can enjoy !

He was so sweet when he brought it the first time my kids were young. My tastes are usually not camp/Kitche but he said he thought it would make a fun tradition for my kids and that he thought of my kids -that just melted me. The turkey tureen has been on our table every year since.

I’m a great gift giver! My suggestions: * A vintage copy of their favorite book - especially if it is their favorite book from childhood. Generally you can find them in good condition for not too much money with a little hunting online or with the help of a vintage bookseller. It doesn’t have to be a first edition (though it’s nice if you find one). That, accompanied by a lovely card, shows them that you listen to details. * Have a local calligrapher write out their favorite quote (or frequently used phrase) and frame it. Etsy has great handmade cards you can select for the personalization. I am friends with a lawyer who is very into bodybuilding. I bought a cute cartoon image of a lady weightlifter and a calligrapher wrote my friend’s name above it and I put it in an inexpensive frame. My friend told me it was the FIRST thing she hung in her office when she got a new job. * Donate money in their name to an organization that means something to them - such as their alma mater or a charity that helps their favorite unusual animal or feeds the hungry in the town where they grew up or an organization trying to cure a specific illness that a beloved family member had - or that they have. You can print out a gift notification on the charity’s website after donating or the organization can send a notification. The great thing is that they don’t disclose your gift amount! So you might get the recipient a small token gift (like a mini Diptyque candle) and a beautiful card and slip the “donation in your honor” printout into the card. I did this as a thank you for a very wealthy couple who hosted an event at their home for one of my family members. They were VERY touched and made a point to tell my relative how kind and thoughtful my gift was. They had no idea that I could only afford to give $20 to the organization at the time.

Great advice Anna I love the list thank you! I already save this video for future recommendation for myself. Since my family and closest friends don't appreciate my time, effort, and kind wallet I have stopped buying expensive things and just gift out gift cards depending on what they are into. ie. movies, music, makeup, perfumes, etc. On special occasions, I do go through my small inventory which I already have, such as women's wallet, men's wallet, men's and women's watch, boys gift set or young girl's gift set. And that way I just know, gift, wrap, add the bow, write in the person's name, and done. And I can pamper myself before getting dressed. Merry Christmas everyone! And do enjoy the New Years! 😊💖💖🎄 🎁🎁

If you travel a lot and are able to get them, these things are really affordable if you buy them when you're in Italy. They're appreciated due to their rarity or surprise value ... Florentine leather desk sets, Jujube dessert liquor from Arqua Petrarcha, perfumes from Florians Cafe, Fior d'Arancio (orange champagne) from the Euganian Hills, cufflinks from Florence, Montegrappa pens from Bassano del Grappa, and anything you can afford at Venetia Studium by Fortuny fabrics in the Veneto. I usually have them ship the purchases to me then I use them as gifts throughout the year. Thanks for your ideas Anna and your delightful channel.

I totally believe in the concept of the signature gift. People come to expect it and anxiously anticipate your gifts. For example, I always give the Royal Dalton Bunnykins china for new babies. Everyone loves the Beatrix Potter design. For hostess gifts, I always give monogrammed tea towels or hand towels in their colors. I have notes on what colors they have in their home or powder room. Everyone really appreciates that you took the time to get their monogram added.

Plants and pretty planters make awesome presents! A little fern or vine in a funky pot for a coworker or neighbor is really chic. Personally, I would opt for a wood or ceramic version from H&M! The gift won’t cost much, but it will last forever and spruce up their space 👌 I wouldn’t carry it to a party though. This is best for delivering to their house or desk
