ummmm YES! As a Floridian, I was walking in NYC and I had a funny convo with a construction-looking guy in the city. He had a guy harvey shirt tucked into straight -leg medium blue jeans that were pulled over his boots. I said "What part of ___ county you from?" and he lit up! He was a contractor from my hometown traveling for a project, and I'd hit the nail on the head lol. He's not rich, but he has a lovely home and trucks and a successful small business. I work in finance (asset management) for 12 years now and you are spot on Anna!! In my experience they party first, and will date beautiful and flashy girls. Later they want to settle down and choose someone beautiful elegant and most important feminine!! A lot of them choose woman from countries where the women are more feminine, polished etc. They see blue and grey suits all day so if you want to impress this man wear a red or pink dress, some heels, nice nailpolish and be warm and inviting. Brain Storm there are different types of finance guys like Anna said. In my experience I have seen a lot of party guys who (unfortunately) sleep around and date a lot of women in a short period of time. But there are also those more quiet, introverted guys who also are common in finance. Yes, they wear suits and look expensive when they are working but on weekends they are very laid back. They often settle for a smart and educated woman who is not flashy but attractive and classy.

They're starter boyfriends, I guess lol. Start there. As a Chinese who spent 25 years in China, what you said in the video is mostly true. Most of the rich guys in China who started from scratch would marry a woman who could help him with his business and cheat on his wife after he becomes successful. Mistresses are also very common and ofc their wives know what's going on. Divorce isn't that common in the high society due to culture and tradition values.

I am Married to the tech "rich" guy, and yes he runs around in his hoodie, Loungewear/shorts and sandals even in star restaurants and he never wears socks even in winter, where he only wears mules but never proper shoes :D it is a little embarrassing sometimes but also funny, when all the people look at him in a certain way. Speaking as someone who grew up around these nerdy tech guy types and still has friendships with several, I'd say it's simply because these guys have almost all their attention focused on their specific areas of interest, and just can't bring themselves to care about other things that much. To them, trying to be "acceptable" according to society is just a pointless waste of energy that could be spent on more interesting pursuits. They are not emotionally affected by social disapproval other than experiencing mild annoyance at the inconvenience, so they don't have the same inner "shame" mechanism that drives the rest of us to conform. Of course, the degree to which each tech guy will exhibit these traits is on a spectrum, but there are enough guys in the world toward the extreme end that the rest of society basically gave up on trying to make them conform lol. Especially since they produce so much technological innovation. That's why they get away with it!

I have to say my favorite type of man is the nerdy and the low key type of guy. And I was lucky enough to find in a blind date the man of my dreams. I would say my boyfriend falls into the discrete rich guy category. He's very well off for his age and I've noticed him becoming more discrete, very down to earth and kind. Everything you said in this video is correct. As a Muslim woman I personally say the religion does not forbid marriage to non-Muslim women(as long as they are Christian or Jewish) but this is often an excuse that is made. The real reason they marry their own kind is family and cultural pressures. You have some great insight overall.

Eva Green Lover We met online before meeting irl. When I visited him, I was surrounded by these massive houses and then I met his parents. I learned that his father owns a company that he is actually working for and that they were actually wealthy. But it did explain everything. However, there are some really flashy affluent people in that area, his family is more on the humble side which I loved so much. Another things is that they are very wise with how they handle their money. They may have all this money, but they still are very frugal with it.

I love this kind of stuff, trying to figure people out. My husband and I were at a party the other night with rich tech guys and I was fascinated by their dates/wives. So many don't seem to match looks-wise. It was very interesting. I could tell the dates who were significantly better looking had wandering eyes and I saw them even just blatantly flirt with better looking men. It's a lot of Asian nationalities so it was an interesting party for people watching anyway lol!

I noticed men from wealthy families like women who are educated (& maybe well traveled) and may not necessarily be from just as wealthy family. Also, yes unfortunately some wealthy Chinese men who cheat think this is normal. Also, the finance guy may not be into illegal drugs just heavy drinking at times and some do like the provocative women, but try to conform her when he dates her seriously or marries her. They may be similar to those in real estate. Tech guys have an inflated sense of who they can get, but may end up with their friend from college or that smart less achieved woman.

Seriously, this happened to a friend of mine but I had no idea it was something finance guys just do, and neither did she. My friend is seriously gorgeous but very sophisticated looking. And she dresses very sophisticatedly in most situations. She is a belly dancer, however. Not as her main profession, but just at times around her regular job. Nothing scandalous, just dancing, and she only dresses in costume for her shows. He'd have to go to these meetings that were in relation to his work and often she'd have to go too, or at least that would be expected once they were married. Of course, she always dressed very elegantly for those, and in every other area of her life in actuality. He didn't complain often about her dancing but would do so at times, and she knew he wanted her to quit. Even though she dressed elegantly all the time, except when she's dancing for an event, he was worried this would embarrass him in front of colleagues (as if they'd ever see her that way or even know of it). They were engaged, about to get married. They'd even had the engagement party already and the wedding was within a couple weeks or so. Suddenly, he dumps her, just like that. Boom. After reading in the comment above, I guess he liked her gorgeous appeal on one hand but felt the need to try to subdue her on the other and when it didn't seem like she'd comply, he cut her. He did try to get her back a couple months later, but she was over it by then. Now she's married to a great guy who's even more upscale than he ever was. She did far better for herself in the end.

As someone who lives in China, I am exposed to the varying affluent circles through work. The following is completely true: Married Chinese men can and will do whatever they want with no consequence. It’s well known throughout that they will stray away and cheat but always have a home base with their wife. Normally, Chinese men marry young to someone their family approves of and this woman will hold down the family and be HIS wife (spoil, keep in the public eye). However, they will still cheat and party and do whatever they like in private or with fellow men. Divorce is also seldom here

I am a Chinese girl I would say having mistress is very common but not acceptable by the society. This is seen as something shame to do like in other cultures, and if a man have mistresses, he needs to do that under the table and never bring it to the light. There are many cases that mistresses being violated by the rich wife. But still having mistress is very common, men just need to hide it very well. And Anna, the reason why those girls told you it is acceptable because they don't wanna tell you what they are doing is something shady and they don't wanna get judged in front of you by you, no one does. They may talk about it in their close circle, but never would be high profile or brag about being or having mistresses in public. And Chinese Rich man giving expensive properties or lux cars as gifts, and give girls credit cards for shopping. Chinese men are very generous.

​@T Collins What I am trying to say here is that China has adopted more modern moral which shared by other culture nowadays as well -- the people who step into or break the marriage is ashamed. In the Asian history, having joy wives were legal and accepted by the official wife, but nowadays, it never got accepted by the official wife or the society, lovers can never talk about they are lovers in public, as they will be accused and ashamed by others. And there are so many cases and news like wife destroy lover's faces or beat the lover on the street, this only won't happen in old Asian history but happens now, you see the difference? And recently, the new Chinese law gives more protection to the wife that the wife can claim back all the assets and money the husband gave the lover as it is considered as couple's common assents , means, the authorities, police and court will help the wife to get assets back. So from the moral perspective and legal perspective, this behaviour is no longer accepted and there are ways to punish lovers.
