All the musics in Normal People fits so well in each scenes!!! So grateful to watch a show where every thing fits so well: 1. Of course I will read the book!! In portuguese and in english. 2. The story is normal, but the way was presented it was so beautiful! 3. The actors and actresses chosen for the story. Daisy Edgar - Jones and Paul Mescal have a magical chemistry in the beginnig until the end! Awesome!! Sarah Green like Lorraine it was so cuuute and perfect. What mom! 4. Places. Ireland have beautiful places. Sligo is a cute city!!! I never heard about it. Dublin and Trinity College, omg, I really want to visit all these places!!! 5. And all the musics in each scene??? I cried every time! When they are happy, sad, loving each other... 6. I really could see me in Marianne and in Connell. 7. Love is strange, magnificent, hard and beautiful.

one of the most beautifully sad songs i've ever heard. Anna is severely underrated.
@moriartypoe5980 Жыл бұрын
We meet millions of people, and I never truly click with anyone. I relate to Marianne and Connell, on many levels. And I love my life, but I just hurt a bit when I realize that there's so many people, yet there's no one, ever. No one has ever gotten me like these characters get each other. I'm hopeful, but I don't want to go not having had that, somehow. What's weird is that I read these comments about how Normal People resonated with "you" too. Where are "you", then, when I go out the house ? Are you all hiding behind faces and words, so that I can't *recognize* you ? We all 'seem' to be like the characters in this series, but when it comes to it, it's still just make-believe. Fact is I'm still struggling to be myself around others, and when I'm myself people find me weird. Nothing changes.

- Lyrics [David Byrne] She'll take you back, don't make believe You wanna think it through I've loved before, I'll love again I know that yours was true [Anna Calvi] Wake up slowly, there are blue skies Cutting white lines in black matter I see them shinin' through your drunken eyes Carving silver in strange weather [David Byrne] She'll meet a man, we'll make a home And travel to the deep Of further lines with hidden dreams The broken heart to keep [David Byrne + Anna Calvi] Wake up slowly, there are blue skies Cutting white lines in black matter I see them shinin' through your drunken eyes Carving silver in strange weather [Anna Calvi] She'll take you back, don't make believe You wanna think it through I've loved before, I'll love again I know that yours was true [David Byrne + Anna Calvi] Wake up slowly, there are blue skies Cutting white lines in black matter I see them shinin' through your drunken eyes They only want me in STRANGE WEATHER In a small room, on a naked floor With the blinded heart of black matter I could hear you through the front door Carving silver in STRANGE WEATHER [Anna Calvi] She'll take you back, don't make believe You wanna think it through [David Byrne] I've loved before, I'll love again I know that yours was true

@miketreacy57124 жыл бұрын
@@isabellarobinson7069 That scene at the end of episode 11 is just one of the best things I have ever seen, and the soundtrack as you say is so perfectly matched to it. Connell for the first time truly loses his anxieties and when he asks Marianne to look at him and he tells her he will never let her get hurt again and that he loves her, is said with such strength of feeling and the first time, truly, Marianne, whose self worth is just so low, knows Connell is there for her, no ifs and buts...just pure love for her. I could watch that scene over and over. They have found each other.

I loved this song as soon as I heard it for the first time at the end of Episode 11 of Normal People, but this music video makes me love it even more! The girl who's the main focus of the video (00:19) is beautiful and mysterious, and the way I see the video is that she's stuck in a love triangle with the blonde girl at 1:29 and the guy at 2:06. She's very torn up about it. It's really tragic and beautiful at the same time.
