Fun chess. Seems like a lot more than a 2 point handicap is justified given the elo difference. A 200 point gap is huge. With a 6-4 split, you are something like 87% to win the match. An 8-2 point split is probably the closest you get to a coin flip match which maximizes the odds of a draw result.

I thought exactly the same, but Andrea did not resign at all, she lost on Time. And Anna's last move was a Blunder I guess. She should have taken with the Queen. But the Fact that her King can escape the Checks and the Pawn is (I guess) stoppable is hard to see so quick.

the strangest thing was in the end of the first game: after Andrea played a6 I thought Anna will play Qxb5 and win since there is no a7 (because black can take twice), and I thought that Rxb5 is bad since it allows white a6-a7. Then Anna played Rxb5(?), but Andrea just resigned.. since Anna seemed to agree with that resignation, at first I thought I missed something, but I don't think so. Andrea could play the natural continuation to her previous move: pawn to a7, and its unclear, yet she just resigned..

@@jhheight Qd6 is bad as you found out. The best I can see is Ra5 and after new queen, capture and capture black has three checks and can win the pawn on d4. But this is a long line and not easy to spot in time trouble and perpetual check is still possible for white with that open black king.

If its a boxing match you need a lot of prep coach, you need to build the right amount of muscle for your frame and to make sure your timing is right, and you need an ironclad defense I would prefer if you had a different opponent tbh someone more your speed for your first match . you and Emily is a solid match up minimal damage overall solid match.
