Love your video! Thank you my son in law wanted slippers this year for Christmas and I just bought this machine a month ago, and I had Lion Brand #4 yarn in my stash. I'm so excited to start this pattern, but it also could be the coffee I just drank. Thank you again!

I made the sock with the same Lion Brand yarn. The foot size was great but ankle where you made the mock ribbing turned out way to small to fit around my ankle. What could I do differently. Hope you can help. Love your videos.
@AnnaHaferman Жыл бұрын
Instead of doing a mock rib on every other needle you can do a hung hem with every needle. That’s how I usually do my socks for myself. Look at my striped Christmas stocking videos to see what I mean. (They are way too big to be used as socks but you will see what I mean.)

@@AnnaHaferman Thank you. I will look at that video. I have just been having problems getting my socks to fit. But I won’t give up

@@AnnaHaferman Yes, but I tried them with sport weight that I had on hand. I have bought some nice DK to try again.

Hi Anna, thank you for your easy to understand videos. I was wondering if you would have the time to share a simple cardigan sweater for an adult? I have an LK150 and have been looking for a pattern. Thank you again.

I will add that to my list. Thanks for watching!

Thank you very much for your video Anna. How do I know which tension to set for my yarn? Would it be the same as suggested hand knitting needles side?
@AnnaHaferman2 жыл бұрын
Do a test swatch and experiment with the number dial and see what you like best.

Hi Anna, thank you for your time making these videos..i just ordered a brother kx395 and i have a question..after you knit the toe would it be possible to pick up the side stitches so you wont have to seam?? Im a newby so it might be impossible but, seems easier..
@AnnaHaferman4 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can do it like that. It’s called “sew as you go.” Lots of people do it that way but I don’t really like the seam it creates. I find mattress stitching the seams goes pretty fast for me. This video was made for a class I taught to beginners and it was specifically designed to teach short rowing a heel and a toe. Usually when I make socks I make them so I only have one seam to sew up on one side which is faster, of course, than sewing up two seams. I will try to do a video of that method someday.

I just saw how easily your machine is taking that 4ply yarn on tension 4. My KX350 doesn't knit the 4 ply that easily on tension 4. I have to go up to 8! Since there is no service manual to adjust it, would you possibly have a clue as to what it might be? I have silicone lubricated it, and I've no bent needles and I've a new sponge tape in it.
@AnnaHaferman3 жыл бұрын
It depends on the yarn; some #4 yarns are much easier to knit than others. What yarn are you using?

what weight of yarn are you using (not sock weight?) for the slipper sock? TY for the vid !!
@AnnaHaferman3 жыл бұрын
I showed it at the beginning of the video, but I think it was a light #4 weight yarn.

Hi, how do you know if the needles of your machine are busted and where I can find them. My machine is living the yarn without knitting on each corner; so what can I do? Thanks.
@AnnaHaferman4 жыл бұрын
Are you putting weights at the edges of your knitting? You can probably get new needles on eBay.
@jeanninu4 жыл бұрын
Anna Haferman thanks for the reply. No I am not putting weight on it so I thought maybe the needles are the issue.

Is this size yarn the smallest that can be made in this machine ? Can I use figerweight or maybe something a little thicker only ? So yes yes how would the tension be ? Thanknyiu so much !Patricia
@AnnaHaferman2 жыл бұрын
The gauge on this machine will work best with #3 or #4 yarn. You can try sock yarn (#1) but the fabric might be too loose. Turn your tension dial low and experiment with it.
