Interesting vid! Can’t help but compare to my experience here in Canada hehe Indeed is not as “competitive” here. Solid advice on the resume too, it always has to be tailored towards the job you’re applying for so that you sound perfectly suited for the job. However, I think itd be a good talking point to share what type of jobs newcomers/immigrants have higher chances of getting, since getting a job would really vary depending on the industry :-)

I was an Electronics Engineer way back sa Pinas, works for.almost 9 years na, before i decided to take a student visa here in Straya (Australia) at dito ako.napadpad sa Cairns. Cguro it takes for me 1 month bago nakahanap ng work as a cleaner sa hotel which is dahil sa kakilala ng bayaw ko.ang bisor, ang hirap talaga pag wLa kang referral dito lalo nat maraming iba ibang lahi ang nandito sa OZ kaya important ang may kakilala para makapasok agad. Sa mga nagbabalak dito, tibayan niyo loob niyo at dasal lng... at sana matapos ko yung pinag aaralan ko at makakuha ng mas magandang work. :)

Nandito asawa ko, student visa po yung hawak namin dito, and impossible makahanap ng work sa isang student visa holder which is related sa work mo. Magtanong ka sa maraming student visa holder dito, same.story anyways, nasa sayo kung ganun kababa tingin mo sa trabaho dito. Pero yung mga puti, never nag underestimate ng trabaho. Pansamantala lamang ang pagiging cleaner or any temporary job, kasi nga kelangan mayroong isusustento sa.pag aaral. I am.not encouraging people to.come here.. we are just sharing our experience as student visa here. Congrats dahil masaya ka sa.Pinas at may pangsustento ka sa pamilya mo. Hi Darrell! The usual ways are to get a student visa, to course through an agency or just directly apply for pr. If student visa, it's gonna be cheaper but you need a really big show money around 1-2 M pesos. For agency, you have to pay a downpayment to the agency prior to arrival and the other half upon your stay in Australia, however some agencies only provide training visas which you can't use as a bridge to apply for permanent residency, and lastly and the most difficult is applying for PR directly. It can cost you up to 200k but it's actually really difficult to even qualify to begin with because there's a point system, you can check it in their website.
