I'd say it's part projection but also part because he's a religious fascist. The citizens of a country have a duty to put their country's needs before their own AND his religion makes it a person's duty to create more of God's soldiers, so not participating in the act of creating more kids to indoctrinate into Christianity and to become good little workers for the US is, to him, selfish and deviant and morally wrong. Many dictatorships in the past, fascist or not, had movements to promote their people having many kids. They would use propaganda, change sex ed in schools, heavily restrict or ban abortions and birth control, and sometimes even give mothers awards for having a certain number of kids. I also suspect because of the "white genocide" conspiracy many states ontop of doing some of the above will also start to not apply those things to people of colour just like the Nazis banned abortions only for their white gentile population. the thing that made me, (a person on the ace spectrum), realize that everyone is not in fact demi, was my roommate in college. she went through a breakup, and within a few days she had had sex with at least 3 different people she found through tinder, each of them on the first or second date. she told me "yeah, I learned I"m definitely not demisexual." I initially thought that everyone had to be previously emotionally invested in someone in order to find them attractive or want to date them. I thought one night stands were purely for the physical feeling. but she was actually genuinely into each of these people-- on the verge of falling in love with them after the first day of knowing them. In truth, these are common misconceptions. Hell, my wife of 23 years divorced when I came out as asexual. Not because we weren't sexually active, but because she could not separate the two either. I've been born in 1974 and I was 46 years old when I learned that I'm both asexual and aromantic. I never had a crush on someone, I never felt the need to be with someone in a sexual or romantic way (or both). From my teens onwards I wondered what was 'wrong' with me because I didn't know what I was. It was such a relief to learn about ace and aro people - finally, I knew what I was and that it was just something people were. Having a nice bath and cuddling with such cute stuffed animals (two of the three are 'blahaj' - a toy made by IKEA, representing a blue shark, even if one is pink) is a nice thing to do. Honestly, there are worse ways of spending Valentine's Day (which hasn't been a thing in Germany where I live until a few years ago, anyway).

It is pretty crazy for several reasons. I get that it's difficult for people to understand others with very different experiences, but that dosen't mean you should pity someone. It's like pitying someone who doesn't want kids because you have kids and think they deserve to feel that kind of love. I'm sorry to break this to you at your big age, but there are hundreds of different kinds of love and connection humans can experience, it is impossible for one person to feel all of them in their lifetime, yet you don't go around pitying others constantly over this fact. After that it took months for me to find my partner sexually attractive. I’ve talked to them about this and they understand, as they were kind of my introduction to the rainbow. If I did meet them through a normal dinner date it would take a very long time before I’m able to realize if I find them interesting or not really. With previous partners I’ve had, I didn’t have a romantic attraction to them, I simply wanted A relationship and didn’t really understand my feelings until I came to the conclusion that I didn’t like them in that way. Personally for me and my partner, we view each other as best friends first and lovers second. It may not be the same for others, but knowing my partner before getting into a relationship and THEN falling in love is kind of my experience. While I may find someone attractive on a date I won’t want them in a romantic or sexual way. The best way I can describe it is knowing them first, like a friend for six years, before falling for them.

Same here as a demiromantic ace Its more like a very very close personal/emotional connection (i think that's the best way to say it) It can take a very long while for me to develope romantic feelings if I even do (This is just my personal experience)

I agree. That’s close enough to my demisexual experience. I didn’t know of this word most of my life and just thought something was wrong with me - I’ve never had a crush or found people attractive before being really good friends first. It always took months at quickest to find partners attractive - which bc I just thought I was broken I would date people I wasn’t too attracted to if they seemed nice enough and hope that I grew feelings for them after and that’s usually what would happen. I wish I had known about the ace spectrum earlier.

You make complete sense-- I can find people who I don't know incredibly attractive, but that doesn't translate to wanting to pursue an intimate (read: sexual/sensual/romantic) relationship with them. With my partner, we talked and were friends for months, and I told him that I wasn't comfortable or even remotely interested in sex or the like at first. He was attractive, but I never felt that oh-so-mysterious "sexual attraction" or this want to touch him sexually. That's since changed, but I still identify as ace, because asexuality is (in my experience) so fluid and broad and I still fit comfortably into the community. 💜🤍🩶🖤 much love to all my ace siblings!

Exactly this!!! I am demisexual and demiromantic. Everyone thought I was weird because I never had a crush as a child, not even celebrity crushes. My mom thought I even was a lesbian because I never talked about liking a boy, but that was because I was never close enough to a guy as friends. It wasn’t until I met my boyfriend and we started being best friends that I started developing a crush, and it took me even longer to feel sexual attraction. I remember that I even stopped thinking I was Demi because someone told me what Matt did “That’s just being a normal human being”, and for years I stopped saying I was Demi. But then I realized how it wasn’t the same, how I could never use a dating app, how I could never do something like a blind date because just a few hours of talking won’t make me see wether I can date someone or not. After that, I started saying I was demi again. Just last year during pride I told my friends and they were so supportive!

Yeah absolutely this! I'm demisexual biromantic I've been sexually attracted to 3 people in my life (just turned 22). One being my on and off friend in school, my ex bf and my current gf. I physically cannot experience sexual attraction without that close emotional bond. I don't understand crushes on celebrities or people I don't know because I just don't have the capacity to experience that for months if not years into knowing a person. I can understand why someone may be sexually attracted to someone but that's completely different to actually feeling it. Like I can see someone and think they're hot but I wouldn't actually wanna have a sexual relationship with them because I just can't do that, my brain just isn't wired that way. I know some aspec people do have sex regardless but I'm just not one of those people, if I'm not attracted to you I'm not gonna fuck you and if we're not close then I'm probably won't be attracted to you. That and it isn't like every close emotional bond I have with someone turns sexual. I have plenty of friends I'm super close with and haven't developed those feelings for because it is a tad more complicated than just emotional bond = attractive. But yeah idk if that rambling was helpful or not but I'll shut up now 😅😂

Same here! Although I wish my experience was as positive. Recently I've heard some stuff that made me extremely scared that I might be attracted to a girl physically, but not romantically (because I just can't), she falls for me and ends up feeling used even if I'm clear with my intentions from the beggining. It's why I only came out as a lesbian to my parents but not as aromantic, as well as the most likely scenario that they think aromanticism isn't a thing because "love is universal".

They help a lot of people to feel reassured in their gender though!
