I'm going to make some pasta one of these days. This looks sooo good!
@Jaydoggy5312 жыл бұрын
Making pasta is one of those things that can feel scary first go-round. And the first few attempts may not even go all that well - I know mine didn't. But after a few attempts and experimenting and you have something it's like "woh.... I could do this" - and it's *awesome*. Ravioli's an EXCELLENT place to start. since you don't necessarily NEED a pasta wheel (though it helps). If making a smaller batch I tend to personally go with 1 cup flour (unpacked) per egg, half teaspoon of salt. I don't do oil in mine. Each person has their own. It'll vary depending on brand, quality, and air/altitude. But try it, I'm cheering you on, and reply here and tell me how it goes! I learned out of economic necessity after I was totally broke right when I graduated in the '08 crash. Learning to cook saved my wallet (and stomach).

Lol I literally just saw that part and my eyes were bugging out too at all that salt!! 😅 I mean, I add a good amount of salt to my water for boiling pasta but THAT looked like a LOT 🤣🤣

I like Anne Burrell, but that's NOT an agnolotti. Agnolotti specifically asks for leftover meat. That's just sausage ravioli.
@mikeoneill912 жыл бұрын
Idk. I’ve worked in a dozen Italian restaurants, agnolotti was on every single menu. The only thing all of them had in common - all essentially ravioli but smaller, rectangular and with crimped edges. The fillings were always different - cheese, beef short rib, lobster.
@cioccolatamania36222 жыл бұрын
@@mikeoneill91 well yeah exactly, the left over meat such as short rib is a perfect example. Simply cheese and some sausage isn't agnolotti at least in a traditional sense
