I can’t help but feel pity and admiration for Otto Frank. He lost everything-his home, his job, his wife, his daughters, his friends-but was still able to come out on top. He was still able to live on. It takes a great deal of courage to continue living after such horrible events.

Loved to hear and see Hannah and Miep young in the 1960’s. Seeing them young makes those times feel even more contemporary.

Wow I've never seen Miep and Hannah that young, and it also surprises me the fact that they could speak several languages. No doubt why the youngest in the secret annex had more than one language lesson. Thanks for sharing this video. It makes the legacy of Anne Frank even more profound.

I have no doubt that if Anne Frank survived she would be very fluent in the same number of languages including English, and one of the most popular writers of her time, probably mounting J. K. Rowling.

75 years after WW2... the Mayer of Amsterdam, Femke Halsema (left wing) opened a telephone line where the citizens of Amsterdam could betray each other over the corona measurements. In the city where Anne Frank was betrayed by someone from nearby who knew the constructions of the houses in the center of Amsterdam. People did not learn anything from History !!!! Like Joseph G. said in 1932: "WE ARE ANTISEMITES BECAUSE WE ARE SOCIALISTS!"

@@Jihyowifi that's really amazing! Yes, when I was in Paris and Rome, I did noticed majority of citizens speaking at least 2 languages.❤

The time between this documentary and the events it portrays is shorter than the time between today and the Twin Towers being destroyed. Crazy.

This is the first time I’ve seen this video. Thanks for posting, it’s a gem. So original and authentic as well as historic in its rawest form. No editing, no photoshopping, no tourists walking around but real people connected to the story when was still fresh in their memory. Ive seen hundreds of video of WW2, Holocaust, and other crimes of the era, and its still incomprehensible to me how some humans can be capable of so much hate and cruelty (the nazis), others of so much love (Ann frank) and others of so much compassion (Miep Gies) to even risk their own life and safety. Amazing!

How sad .😢 the black and white video makes these conversations even sadder and closer to the real event which is the arrest..omg.I want to cry..it seems so realistic. These people went through ..horror and knew Ann and the frank family especially better than us . They shared their life .we ll never share it. 😢They were intimate. .We read the diary but thats not the same....we dont know Ann or her parents personally ..we just have an idea of her thanks to her writings .
