The shark boot is one of Givenchy's most iconic designs and was designed by Riccardo Tisci. It is supposed to imitate the appearance of trousers worn over a boot and first appeared in a similar shape during the Fall 2008 Couture show. For the next few years Tisci played around with the idea, neglected it and brought it back in form of the iconic design with the lock that still exists today for Pre-Fall 2012. It's a truely iconic design!!

I think the picture is better than the outfit, because the stone grey building and pavement camouflage the dress, and that highlights the face, the boots and then THE BAG which is so warm toned it's jumping out of the screen! Ironically, according to the New York Times, Todd Oldham did exactly that. He reworked a whole bunch of his old pieces to make them fresh again and I think that’s fantastic. Back in the late 80s I was besotted with his work. I was in my very late teens and early 20s and he did the most fun things ever. I literally just checked him out because of your post, today, and it brought back a lot of memories. Thank you for that❤ On a sidenote, thank you also for having (mostly- good thing I know who Doja Cat and Givenchy are) very good captioning for your videos. When you start to need them, it means a great deal. One doesn’t realize until they are terrible. Thank you on behalf of the many. I’ve watched you for several years now, and I’ve enjoyed seeing you grow as a poster, a channel, and within yourself as a fashion expert. Kudos and keep up the good work. 🙂

I don’t think Kylie has ever looked better. Wow. That dress (the blue one), that colour, that necklace, the makeup, the hair …. Regal. Absolutely stunning. I dunno …. A lot of times when I see celebrities at these events or on any red carpet I just wonder how many stylists out there are worth their fee’s. For real. Do they not learn about body types? About the lines of different frames (a la Kibbe)? So often I think the looks fail not because they’re boring, or maybe they look boring because they are the wrong lines for the person wearing them. The ones that really sing just totally echo the lines, the essence of the person wearing them. Like you said about Doja, the clothes don’t wear her, she lives in the clothes. The essence of her and the clothing fuse and it’s just seamless, it makes sense, and it demands attention. That dress on Kylie is her. It’s her essence in fabric. Her sister, Kim, seems to still and forever be at war with her own body. NOTHING ever fits her properly, even the things she has been sewn into. It always just looks like Kim playing dress up in someone else’s closet. With the Marilyn dress, literally Kim playing in someone else’s closet. She has no sense of herself whatsoever. Without Kanye or a team of stylists (who should be fired, frankly) she has absolutely no idea what to wear or how. She’s often said that she has no innate sense of style. She WANTS to be a fashionista, but she just …. isn’t. I think that’s why she’s taken with Balenciaga so much: it’s literally a one piece uniform. She doesn’t have to do anything. Just put the whole hulking piece of fabric that covers her from head to toe and she’s done. God, even her hair seems forever wrong. It should be free and wild and natural and she’s constantly strangling it into submission and it just does not suit her at all. It kinda frustrates me to see images of her. She was beautiful before all the work she had done, she’s beautiful now and she has a very strong and powerful presence for such a tiny human but she’s much better suited to natural, relaxed, softer silhouettes but she just insists on …. Whatever the hell it is she is always jamming herself into. Her body looks like a prisoner in her clothing. Anyhow ….. that’s that about that 😃 Oh, and the Anne and Anna moment … *chef’s kiss*❤

I can recognize SOME designers now. I understand what a quality garment is. I understand what different textiles are. I understand some industry terminology. I dress myself better now.

Luke no!!! In the UK we see 'unnecessary tights' all over US women, strange flesh coloured ones are constantly worn by US ladies and we do not understand it even a little bit. Chloe Bailey's look was clearly a stylist say 'we're in London so we'll wear EVERYTHING we think is English all in one outfit'.
