Anne Murray has been the quintessential Canadian songbird for decades. A true Canadian treasure and icon It sure would be a treat to see her share the stage with Gordon Lightfoot. Hopefully her family struggles and crisis is now all in the past.

Actually I didn't think this story showed Dawn's voice off very well, She is a much better singer than what we heard in this story. There are her own clips on KZbin that are very good.

I remember reading many years ago that Ann Murray disliked touring and refused to do it. So all these years I thought she just recorded and stayed home. Learn something every day.

I would not call Joni a "pop diva." Her music was folk-based and then jazz influenced. That might be why she wasn't on that list. There's a huge chasm between Joni and Shania Twain.

I wonder if she ever talked to Olivia Newton-John about her own daughter Chloe having Anorexia. Chloe admitted she felt that since her Mother set the Bar so high could she compete with that. Also The Record Label was very nasty towards her.
