This video explained so much to me. The blanket stitch has been my nemesis but your video helped tremendously. Also the fly stitch. Thank you so much for sharing your talents. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

I'm so excited to start a snippet roll with the vintage fabrics I got from my mom. I also got 4 full cases of dmc threads. She passed away on Feb 26 and she did many crafts and sewed our clothes . Im the only one of her 5 girls who had her passion for the arts. I also got a ton of beads and buttons. The whole roll will be dedicated to things I just inherited. Thanks Anne for keeping this craft alive.

A lovely story. I also inherited my talents and lovely supplies from my mom. I do miss doing things with her. I had to reply to your post cause oddly enough I too am gathering some things of my mothers to dedicate a snippet roll in her memory just for me. Have fun and happy memories. Donna, in California.

Going to find some nice cotton cloth, my embroidery hoop, needle and thread and make a little sampler. Learned a lot, the variation on the Bullion, French knot, Fly stitch, over all the slight variations that make stitching so fun. Also the fact that you use a needle with a slim eye, so you don't have to have a wrestling match with the thread and the fabric 😣, thank you. I am so happy to have seen your video today. You made my day.

I've watched this several times now and I come back to it a lot for a quick reminder--thank you so much for taking the time to show these stitches! I'm a lefty too so it's really nice to not have to translate for once! The bullion stitch is probably one I would never have been able to learn from a book but seeing you do it made it so clear, and now I LOVE doing it.

Thanks Anne for this - these stitches are lovely. I particularly love seed stitch, so simple but I use it all the time. I will save this vid for future reference. Cheers

You had me with the first knot! My mom is a lefty and taught me to embroider, sew, and crochet. She didn't succeed in teaching me knitting, but by that time I was a teenager and became very busy with school, work and boys.

Anne, stop apologizing for being a lefty. I am right handed and learn easier from a lefty because your hand from my stand point is not in my way of seeing what you are doing. LOL Your hand position would be the same, the only difference is when you go left, we go right and vice versa. Love your talents and your program!💕🥰

New Subbie Here! How fantastic! I used to embroider as a young child, but have done so many other art and craft styles that most of my embroidery skills have fallen to the wayside. You have inspired me to take up some embroidery again. I think that I am now addicted to the pistol (pistal?) stitch as well. I wonder, would you please list the stitches so that I may make my own sampler with names? I did not "catch" the name of the first stitch at all. Closed captioning was no help either. Left handed to right isn't too difficult to "translate" for me. I learned to play an upside down left-handed guitar, so then had to later transpose the cords when using a right-handed guitar. Hey, I was really desperate to learn!
