Got mine today. Ran a group of .30-06. Very nice job. Just the right amount of discoloration. Some are Lake City and look just like the came from the factory. Thanks, nice job on design and operation

Wow! I've done research on annealing brass since I do reload and this is great. I do have one question for you. I noticed that the brass is just going into an empty container....is there a reason you don't have water in there or does quenching the brass not really matter all that much? I've seen some quench by dropping into a bucket of water while others have used a wet towel. Thanks in advance, I'm probably going to be grabbing one of these things towards the fall.

@Annealeez 9 жыл бұрын
ddio1978 quenching brass really does not matter. The only time I quench is if annealing very short cases like 300 blackout, just to be sure the heat does not wick to the rim/head of the case. you can find all of the information you like about Annealeez on my website, www.annealeez.com, there are also informational video links on the page that explain quenching.

Anneal eez Excellent! Thank you for the additional information. I've actually shared this video on a local 2A forum I'm a member of to help spread the word. I've seen quite a few contraptions over the last several months but yours is a step above the rest. I can't wait until I am able to place an order in a few months!

bass is a Ferris metal and doesn't need to be quenched. you can do it but it does nothing to it.

I've been thinking about a company slogan.. Something catchy and perhaps a bit naughty. here are some suggestions so far, does anyone have more? 1. Condition your Brass 2. For a Hot Piece of Brass 3. Happiness is a Good Piece of Brass 4. Prepare your Brass with Annealeez

If you watch closely you will see some of the first pieces of brass with bent case mouth don't make one full revolution...... I hate to be a critic but that machine does not work very well. Take a look at the Giraud. You will get much more consistent results
@Annealeez
@Annealeez 7 жыл бұрын
No problem with critics.. i welcome all kinds of feedback.. perhaps you should also look at some of the other videos and see just how well the machine does actually work.. (this was my very first video of the very first machine I built) then compare prices for the Giraud to my machine.. if you purchased the Giraud, you bought a very nice, well built machine.. and you paid a lot more for it to do the exact same thing..

Question does 45 year old military brass ( once fired ) harden with age???? I am pulling ammo that was reloaded in the early 90,s and never fired. Should it be annealed before I sell it??? The reason I know that it was only once fired is I broke and bent many a de-priming pin on the 1800 30-06 casing. I had planned to do a lough of target shooting but work time and range time never worked out. Than shoulder injury's put an end to that. My son does not want the 06. So it is by by to all of it. What I am thinking about is something on the AR-15 platform like the 300 blackout that I can use for deer hunting in this state. Because 22 is NOT legal to hunt deer

Just got mine last week and set it up this last weekend. Not hard to set up the nozzle is a little tricky. Wasn't quite perfect and it just started to melt the top wheel but only made a dark stop. I did about a hundred cases the first time. It becomes hypnotic watching it. The only thing I find a problem is, once set up the gas knob on the front is turned towards the metal wall. It is very hard to adjust the flame reaching behind the torch. But once it is set it works great. I have new Winchester .223 brass and am not sure if it was annealed, it looks too clean. But since I'm necking up from .224 to 7mm I annealed them anyway and the necking process is going very smoothly. And using the Temilaq I could see how far down the case the heat was going.In fact I wasn't heating them enough at first and adjusted the speed and bingo they started coming out perfect. There is not one other unit on the market that can give you so much for the dollar. you put a bunch of cases in and you don't have to touch it. Not like the more expensive ones where you have to sit there and add shells the whole time. Thank you for a great product.

This is awesome! what's the process for switching to larger brass cartridges like belted magnums?
@Annealeez
@Annealeez 9 жыл бұрын
Michael Hallak Michael, thank you for the compliment! no process, Annealeez is designed to cycle calibers from 223 to 30-06, with nothing more than adjusting the torch head. Any bigger or smaller cases need different wheels and ramp adjustments. If you go for bigger calibers you sacrifice the smaller and visa versa. I can make different sets of wheels and show how to adjust the ramps, if you really want. I've not considered what to charge for an extra set of wheels at this point.

no the brass will not harden with age.. brass only "work hardens". so when brass is forced to bend, bow or stretch it work hardens.

That's more like my budget rather than the Bench Source Vertex for 600 bones. I like technical shit, but this is not rocket science. For a guy who doesn't shoot all that much competition, but still hunts seasonally needs the same consistent loads. I shoot a .17 Remington and find the necks get brittle fast being it has a small neck in the first place and need to sometimes restore the neck tension while getting the uniformity, and extended loadings as well. Nice looking product simple... for now I'll stick with my drill.

Talon Gunter the purpose is for rifle cases mostly, it reconditions the brass, so it's easier to size and trim. It increases the case life bunches, and most importantly, increases/enhances accuracy.
