@@stormcrowlegendary3512that's a good point, my boy is with his breeders at the moment but they're basically friends/family but when I was given him and raised him and did alot of his basic training and socialization, it was weird his mom picked 3 pups for me to look at, joda was one of them and just kinda called to me. Was only 12 days old but idk weird draw to him. Me and him have the craziest connection. Me and the breeders co own him, he went back to breed and ended up staying longer then intended. Refused alot of females so took 4.5 years for that. And his dam and sire died while he was there. Didn't want him dying of depression like his father. Mother was 26 father was 24. Joda is gonna be 18 soon. He was from their last litter that wasn't even supposed to happen. Giant frigging baby he is rather well behaved. But a few really wolfy characteristics that give away how high content he is besides his looks.
@bmxriderforlife1234 Жыл бұрын
@@hvhyyifjj1593they're not for most people. If you're really interested I would suggest starting with a saarloos a tamaskan a czech vlcak or a lower content wolfdog first. They're quite alot of work. My wolfdog is over 90 percent. He's almost 18, and his parents both lived into their 20s. He's well behaved but his one sister can not be taken into public despite extensive early socialization. She likes 10 people and that's it. And she's very far removed from a wild wolf. She's just not confident enough or over stimulated too easily to be in public. She ends up nervous and shows defensive nervous aggression. Prey drive is high, and she's an escape artist and can slip out of most harnesses. Plus needs alot of exercise and eats like 2 pounds of meat plus a couple cups of kibble a day. Plus supplements to replace the missing stuff from wild diet. Joda eats 5 pounds of meat a day and kibble. Plus needs high protein high fat low starch diet.

My wife and I raised two pure bred wolves. An Arctic wolf with bad hips, and a Grey Wolf female, they were our children for 13 years. The Arctic male died first, and our beautiful grey went into loss depression and died a month and a half later. Those two taught me more about being human that any human could. And, you have never really lived, util you've been french kissed by a wolf.
@Ana-ls8rh2 жыл бұрын
where'd you get them from?
@bmxriderforlife1234 Жыл бұрын
@Ana-ls8rh I'm gonna guess he works with a zoo or wildlife protection or research groups or it's likely not pure breds. There are places you can own pure breds that are captive bred as working animals in America but it's never arctic wolf. Though the depression death of the female sounds correct. The high contents I know did the same thing. Female was 26 male was 24. She died and he went into depression and died not even a month later if memory serves.

@@bmxriderforlife1234 You aren't trying to say that these wolfdogs were 24 and 26 YEARS OLD are you?!? Because that is utterly unheard of and probably not even biologically possible.
@bmxriderforlife12347 ай бұрын
@no-zy7bv lmfao way more possible then you realize. We have literal pure bred dogs that have lived longer and wolves have longer lifespans then dogs. The average wolfsof lifespan is 16 plus years. The oldest wold wolves were believed to be in their 20s. Lol. And most wolf dogs and captive bred lines have horrible genetic diversity. Lmfao.

My dog had a litter of them. God, it was hard homing them. Worse yet, we were at our pet limit and we had to claim a pair back. We had to home them again and I wanted to keep them so bad. One looked just like a wolf, the other like their mama. We didn't want to have her breed to the wolf dog, especially as the father's "owners" were terrible, but we spent the time to find them good homes. Takes a lot of work because you don't want some trash fighting them or beating them, much less breeding them and selling them to the highest bidder.

Valentina Bunny I agree. I thought it was unwise to mix dog and wolf together. I met a purebred full wolf and he was lying on a pallet at a Lowe's. Seemed calm, but I wondered what he really felt. The owner rescued him as a baby. Still, I wonder if this is even wise. I wouldn't do it myself. These people are possibly asking for troubleby though I knew a family who had a 1/2 wolf, 1/2 GSD. Lady did ok and did ok til she and Duke (who was 1/2 Rough Collie,1/2 GSD) lived til they died of old age. Never attacked or not anybody. Fortunately, all their other breeds were just plain dogs and no wolf mixtures. I prefer Border Collies. They can howl too.

The same argument can be made for any species of pet you own. So what is your point exactly? I demand that you get rid of your pets, because for every pet you own, you are robbing it of it's natural life in the wild. Although it's true, it's a silly argument.

Hey there again. I really like this one as it fits right into my Wolf Rusheeda. She's been the best canine I've ever had in my whole life, I just turned 56 so it's a long enough life. It was good that you brought all the subject matter in your question and answer section of this breed so people will understand better that these types of wolves really need someone that understand them very well and that their not just a dog you pick up at the pet store. there's a lot of work involved with these animals. Rusheeda is 5 now and she lives as a inside Wolf and I relate to where the lady said about the chewing things up at the different ages, but Rusheeda has been a good girl most of her life and when she did chew things up I merely had to speak to her about it, Of course there's also giving her something that she would know she can chew on and that takes her focus onto that object instead of furniture and shoes and such lol. But like I said she has been so wonderful to me and those that I introduce her, She's protective of me as well, with no teaching she just naturally does it, she helps me with my seizures as well without being taught. Her Vet told me she is 98% timber wolf and 2% Malamute, So with that combination I am the luckiest person to have such a wonderful Wolf. I really love your videos on the wolves that are still existing, I wish people would stop killing them out of ignorance. That are very important to our survival as well. I wish you could meet Rusheeda you would love her, then you can see what a Wolf and human is like. She will melt you and your video followers hearts.

King Alex A few years ago I dreamed I was lost in the woods a wolf appeared, I was startled definitely a little afraid but tried to be calm. He came up to me circled around me sniffing me. Then he ran back into the forest. It was getting dark; I wasn't really dressed for the drop in temperature. I was getting cold. The wolf came back with his pack. They were all curious jumping up on me licking my face and beard. That night the pack all surrounded me and kept me warm with their body heat. The Dad and Mom wolf slept closest to me. Days went by and I felt myself getting hungry enough to eat the raw kill they would bring me. I don't recall eating but I must have eaten. In my dream I was able to keep up with the pack when they ran prey down. I much preferred to kneel by the falls and grab fish as they jumped up stream. The year Olds watched me with curiosity. Then they tried grabbing the fish and discovered it wasn't that easy. One finally landed a fish but she couldn't quite figure out what to do with it. I couldn't help but laugh. It was going to take some more time before this one became an expert hunter. Then it was night; we were on the move until we came to a clearing and a farmhouse. I thought it was where I would say farewell to my wolf friends. But, then à Dog started barking. A man came out yelling something and began shooting. We ran to safety! Dad wolf did a head count, all the children of various ages, aunts and uncles all were accounted. Then as often happens in dreams there was a break and the next scene we were all at the edge of a road. It was time to say goodbye to the wolves who had welcomed me into their family and protected me. I woke just as a car was approaching. I remember turning to the father wolf and saying "Well Mr Wolfie I'll see you in my dreams."

Skin walkers aren’t werewolves. They are the people who got into witchcraft and turn into demon like entities that feed the natives who walk into skinwalker canyon.
