What’s the safest meat to eat - steak or hamburger?
Today, we’ll talk about the safe meat to eat and why. We're going to look at the comparison between steak and ground beef and which one is the safer meat to eat.
So first of all, let's start with ground beef, realize ground beef, all of the meat has been processed. Once it's been processed, there's already that opportunity for oxygens to start oxidizing the meat, you remember when we cut open an apple and it starts to turn brown. Well, the same happens with ground beef. So once it's been processed and put through that processing mechanism, then it's going to start turning brown. So you only have a certain amount of time before that's
going to happen.
If you pick it up at the store, and it's nice and pink, and you take it home and you try to serve it that night, it's like wow, it's already turning brown. That's what the browning is, it's called oxidation. Now that doesn't mean it's bad. But it means you didn't keep it at a cold temperature during the transportation going home. So one key thing I want you to take away from today's video is bring a cooler to the grocery store when you're going to buy ground meat. This is very important.
Safest Meat To Eat - Steak Vs. Hamburger
We do not want any bacteria going on in our food. So if you're not going to cook this tonight, it needs to go in the freezer.
Another factor you need to know about ground beef is it must never, never be served raw. Never eat a raw hamburger or a medium rare hamburger because of the bacteria in hamburger. Yes, it's not good. So always eat your hamburgers fully cooked, not burned.
Now let's move on to steak and then we're going to talk about which one is the safe meat to eat. Many people would rather have a delicious steak than a hamburger and you know I can't blame them. They are cooked well, they taste amazing. And so there's a reason why steak actually can taste better than hamburger. And that's because it has a richer flavor. It hasn't been mechanized, it hasn't been processed, and so you actually have a fresher flavor.
Also, once you start chopping into your steak, you lose a bit of the freshness and you lose a bit of the flavor. Another factor to consider is that steak stays fresher longer.
Now, let's just go over how we can reduce the risk from the ground beef when you take it home.
1. We need to keep the raw meat separate from your ready to eat foods.
2. Wash your hands, counters and utensils with hot soapy water after they touch the raw ground beef.
3. If you use a meat thermometer, which I use all the time, make sure you clean that in between uses, so that it doesn't contaminate anything else.
Well, I hope you've enjoyed this video as much as I have. Let's hope everyone has an enjoyable dinner, a healthy dinner with no bacteria invited and let's keep the flavor and our meal by having more steak instead of ground beef! Thanks for watching.

I love steak, bone in! I just found your channel and I’am so excited to learn God’s way for nutrition. You are a delight to listen to! I have been on a 3 year journey now trying to lose this weight. I do mostly keto. I have lost 30 lbs. I have 20 to go. I lost 20 the first year and 10 just in the last 4 months. It comes off very slow. I did not gain any weight during the pandemic. Just maintained of which I am grateful for. I get 10,000 steps a day plus on most days and now I want to incorporate weight training. There is so much to learn. I’am thankful to the Lord for a diagnosis of adrenal exhaustion and fatty liver. It was a wake-up call. My husband has PD and I also was care-taker to his father for 2 1/2 years. I’am feeling great and renewed. I fail at times with my eating, but wrong eating taste good going down but makes you feel awful! Eating well will heal your body, but it is being consistent that builds mental strength and above all prayer and seeking the Lord. Thank you for your channel! I will tell all my friends and I so look forward to learning all you teaching! Have a wonderful blessed day💜🙏✝️

Steak any day. But, I do, on occasion buy a whole piece of meat, from my butcher. Meaning, that huge chunk of beef that stares at you with that (sometimes) hefty price tag. I look at it this way. For one big chunk of -X it's going to cost me $0.00 a pound. No matter how I slice it, dice it, chunk it, or grind it. That price tag stays the same. When it comes to hamburger, well I have a lot more control over that as well. I can say- no fat, if I choose. When I do grind my own hamburger, I usually bag the chunk of beef whole, and grind it just before I am ready to use it. It's kind of 6 one way, half the other. If you are going to grind it yourself. Now or later, you still have to do it. ☺ Personally, I think the meat tastes fresher, doing it this way.

Leviticus 7:25-27 Seems to tell us we shouldn't eat the blood (or fat) of any animal so a rare or medim steak would go against that command wouldn't it? I used to like my steak blue but won't eat it like that anymore since reading these verses....it's also interesting that it seems to be the bloody red meats that are linked to cancer.... 'For whosoever eateth the fat of the beast, of which men offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord, even the soul that eateth it shall be cut off from his people. Moreover ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl or of beast, in any of your dwellings. Whatsoever soul it be that eateth any manner of blood, even that soul shall be cut off from his people'.

If they would try it, even just for a little while .. they would see the benefits for themselves. People who refrain from animal flesh have cured their arthritis, kidney problems, diabetes, cancer, etc. There are lots and lots and lots of testimonals to be found on KZbin and the internet .. myself included. I used to get really bad neck and shoulder pains .. kept going to a chiropractor for adjustments, but when I stopped eating dead animals, the pain went away and never came back. It's not safe for any of the animals. Have you ever looked into the eyes of animals who are on their way to be slaughtered? I have .. it's not a pretty sight. The bible says "God is love" .. 1 John 4:16 God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. Genesis 2-29: “And God said, behold I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, which is the fruit of the tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.”

@Peace To All - Romans 14:1-4: Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on his opinions. For one person has faith to eat all things, while another, who is weak, eats only vegetables. The one who eats everything must not belittle the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted him. Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
