I am not fluent in Norwegian, but I have been studying the language for a few months now - plus, I got help from people her on KZbin to figure out some tricky lyrics - so I still wanted to give this a try :)
If by any chances, any of you know/is Norwegian, please do correct me! This as much of a learning experience for me as much as it is me doing something I love (editing)

Sanger/Singer: Lisa Stokke
Tekst/Lyrics:
Jeg kan kjenne at jeg skjelver
Men er ikke kald
Noe virker kjent her
Som en drøm på vei bort ved solafall
Jeg kan føle deg
Som en venn som stige frem
Og jeg kjenner
Det er som komme hjem
Jeg har alltid vært så ensom
Har skjult meg i meg selv
Du har dine dyp
I breene nær fjell
Vis deg frem
Jeg trenger å se deg
Vis deg frem
I mitt syn
Er du en som jeg har ventet på
hele mitt liv?
Vis deg frem
Og vis du meg inn
Ah - Ah - Ah - Ah (x2)
Har aldri vært så sikker
Nå er døren på gløtt
Men jeg står her og spurt deg
Kan du vise hvorfor jeg ble født?
Jeg har alltid spilt en annen
Sjelden røpet hvem jeg var
Nå lett se jeg
Har du min vei?
Jeg håper du har svar!
Vis deg frem!
Min uro er borte
Jeg står klar å venter her
Du har det svaret jeg ventet på
hele mitt liv
Så vis deg frem
La meg se hvem du er
Kom til meg nå
Ta til min sjel
Si det du må
Så jeg blir her
Kom til meg nå
Ta til min sjel
Si det du må
Så jeg blir her
Der hvor kuling møter kald
Danser minner mot et mektig hav
Lytt, min kjære, finn dem der
Jeg er her!
Vis du frem!
Og vi deg til kraften
Voks med den
Så du blir en bro
Du er det svaret du ventet på
hele ditt liv (hele mitt liv!)
Så stig nå frem!

@@verycreativename1865 I'm here to make your argument invalid, statements from the production team of Frozen has stated that the story is loosely based on a Danish Story but with more exclusive story elements meaning by itself the film is an original story. Another thing is that mentioning that it's even based on a Danish Story doesn't matter one bit and is unnecessary, since if you've read the original danish story it states by itself that it takes place in Spitsbergen, Norway. Which by now you understand that the native language is Norwegian. You never needed to comment that especially when it doesn't fulfill a specific purpose.

@@verycreativename1865 In literature, if a story has chosen a location beyond their borders then it's considered a retelling and not a native standpoint. This is why people don't consider English as the native language of an American film called Hercules which takes place in Greece, another thing to mention is that the film also only uses a percentage from the story which is the location and magical individuals. Danish is the official retelling, Norwegian is the native story location that once again YOU guys choose in the first place.

Anna - Bruh, that’s the same thing by saying that some Danish dude wrote a Norwegian persons life, and then say that since the person who wrote it wrote in Danish the language of the story is Danish. That literally makes no sense, because if the person who the story was written about a Norwegian person talking Norwegian, then the native language would be Norwegian🤷🏼‍♀️

Someone pointed out in a video about music and film that the tune of the Aaaahs in the beginning is a minor key. At the end during this song it’s in a major key. It’s the same tune and that tune is called Dies Eire (not sure of the spelling). It’s in in Latin. It is a traditional song that deals with death. So when it changes to a major key at the end to me that signifies that she has died to her old ways of thinking when she was back in Arendelle and now she’s been resurrected in Ahtohallan into a new person. In a cut scene from Frozen 2 she had a conversation with Anna at the end in which Anna said, “You’re not coming back are you?” and Elsa replied that Ahtohallan had changed her. No kidding Elsa!

I’m not a big fan og Lisa’s voice but she killed it in this song. So good. As a Norwegian person I was a bit disappointed with her voice in the first movie but in this one the songs fit her voice a lot more. Her voice is similar to Idina’s but she doesn’t have the same control Idina has which has annoyed me a lot. Also, her voice is a bit more “squeaky” but in this one it’s really good. Not to hate on Lisa, she’s an amazing singer, and her speaking voice has always been good for Elsa. I did notice a few errors in the Norwegian lyrics in this video, but otherwise it’s good hahah

I've loved everything about this version, really. It's beautiful because it should be their native language but also because most times, singers have to adapt the lyrics to match the music, and that leads to changing half of what the song meant in the original one. This one is perfect, the language adapts so well to the music without changing the meaning of the song, the thoughts and emotions of Elsa. I love this

Just one thing at 2:37 "Så jeg blir her" I think its supposed to be "Så jeg blir hel" dont quote me though I could be wrong it just sounds weird the way she pronounces the "e" cause i cant hear if its an R or an L at the end of the word. from experience the "e" in "her" is often pronounced with a more "æ" sound. I could also just be dialectively biased. Feel free to correct me

Hey a few corrections that doesn't seem to have been mentioned. "Men jeg står her og spurt deg" -> "Men jeg står her og spør deg" (Wrong conjugation. Spurte is past tense (asked). Spør is present tense (ask). Spurt is actually perfectum participium.) "Nå lett se jeg" -> "Nå lytter jeg" (Now I'm listening) "Du har det svaret jeg ventet på" (You have the answer I waited for) -> "Du er det svaret jeg ventet på" (You are the answer I waited for) (That's at least what i think it is. From what you currently have the back-to-english translation is wrong since "svaret" is "the answer" in english.)

3:08 'der hvor kuling møter *kav* ', not 'kald'. It's not a very common word in Norwegian nowadays, so it's an easy mistake to make ('kav' being a word for the deep depths of the ocean in this context). Actually 'kald' wouldn't even be grammatical correct in this situation. Unlike 'The cold' in English, 'kald' in Norwegian isn't a noun, it's an adjective. You'd have to say 'møter *kulde* ' for it to be its noun counter part, and correct grammatically. Also 'kuling' is a word for strong winds, which is almost always (at least in Norway) cold. So it wouldn't make much sense for already cold wind to meet 'the cold'.

"Press READ MORE!!!" Why isn't the swedish version this powerful? In fact, this version would kind of fit in the swedish version aswell. If we took the norwegian version into the swedish it would be something like this. I made it fit in the melody as well. I thing this is kind of intressting actually. I didn't relaize it would be so wonderful to translate this but ow i realize how wonderful the norwegian lyrics are. Of course some parts are taken from the swedish dub so it would fit in the melody, but 98% is a compleatly new text translated and fitted from norwegian dub!
