I've had a lot of trouble replaying Skyrim ever since Legendary Edition was replaced by SE. This mod, along with Timing is Everything has finally fixed that. No more getting bombarded with all the DLC quests right out of the gate, and I can enjoy the CC content I want without overwhelming my quest journal. Thanks a bunch!!!

Going to wait a couple of months for all the bugs and instability issues with AE to be worked out but as and when I'll definitely be using this to keep my game trim and neat. You, sir, are a hero!

As someone who has never actually beaten Skyrim despite playing both the original game and the special editions for hundreds of hours, the anniversary edition was a great excuse for me to jump in with a fresh start and play the game thoroughly. The problem… AE installs a bunch of armour and weapons that are incredibly overpowered for lower level characters in my opinion. Looking at you, Bow of Shadows… This is a really good mod because I actually like all of the other stuff for the most part. Not a fan of Wild Horses or Goblins really but I actually love having a nice, smooth and simple way to easily understand and choose what pieces of content I want for my play through. This is a wicked mod dude. And a very clear and clean video to explain it. Thanks a lot for putting in all this work and effort for it :)

I'm considering a new play through after many years since my last one. I've never played AE yet and I don't think I want all the content, so I began to search and came out by this video. This mod looks very promising. If I do start a new play through, I'll definitely try this mod out for myself. It looks like the exact thing I was hoping to find in my search about selecting AE content.

very nice thanks went for the upgrade since this is where Skyrim SE AE is heading. No sense in going back. I did find that older scripts seem to fail on recompiling in AE so I guess there were other changes that occur in AE edition and ckit or an ini change.

I assume if one of the Creation mods has an update it will then load it into the data folder again and you can just copy it back out to MO2?

Handy Tip: IF you make 2 Backup folders One for 1/ The "Vanilla AE" install and two for 2/ for the "Content Picker" install. You can simply copy & swap the content with the game folders' if you need to restore either configuration. (Yeah, it takes up quite a bit of space, but does ANYONE still install Steam on C/Program files??) (I tend use Wabbajack, some mod-lists of which leave your AE install alone, and recreate the Game folders (for SE!) as a Mod within the Wabbajack Install directory....works a treat!)

are you using windows 11? or a theme for windows 10? cause it look cool.

I'm using Windows 11 on the stream PC I now do my recordings on and currently would not recommend switching to it. It looks pretty but has a long way to go in regard to compatibility and general polish. If you've got a working setup, stay with W10 for now unless ripping your eyeballs from your sockets is one of your hobbies.

I really don't understand why you cannot manually disable stuff from AE CC content except via your tool/mod. None of the mods depend upon each other and designed to explicitly function independently of each other. It's all or nothing, which is very bizarre. If you just want to update to the AE edition of Skyrim, you are forced to install all the CC stuff. You even get a prompt upon booting asking if you want to install with the only option being "OK". Thanks for this btw.
