The Only warning i can come up with, for anyone interested since you are asking is: If you buy Standard Edition, there's a lot of gameplay that's behind DLC's "Base game has a NUKE of gameplay anyways but just to notice the fact that DLC/seasons have like 2-3+ extra worlds to expand and colonize, play and wage war, and explore history, characters and missions" -That being said, IMPORTANT: if you buy the complete, and your friends don't, they can't play with you, or you have to play with them "without all the extra stuff you paid for double the price" Wich SUX. -So with that in mind, either, you all buy the cheap one, and have a blast for months and years to come. OR -Everyone has to pay a lot more for the Complete Edition and have a Blast for *YEARS*, but if anyone doesn't then everybody is screwed by ubisoft Season/DLC politics. Also, *it's on sale right now,* so, just letting everybody know, thanks me later Even on sale i can't buy it, i'm on an economic crisis because job's got lost because of the pandemic, so sadly no Fun 4 me :C

The problem with that is that the game is called Anno Domini (in the year of the Lord) so this kinda applies a setting after Christ and also a christian one. However they could make a Byzantine one colonizing the Mediterranian like Anno 621 or something.

@@csabas.6342 The game name doesn't include the "domini" and "anno" just means year, so technically Anno 1800 references AD 1800 just as easily it does 1800 BC. People would still get confused by it though if you tried to reference BC years with "anno", so an alternative would be needed. I can think of two options: 1) Leverage the name used in North America for Anno 1404, "Dawn of Discovery". Invent a new theme based on that. 2) I'm less than an amateur in Latin, but maybe something like "Ante Anno ####". Something to say "_before anno_" or "_not anno_".

Every anno game's year add up to 9. Ex. 1+8+0+0=9, 1+7+0+1=9, 2+2+0+5=9 etc, so they cant make anno 681 or anything that doesnt add up to 9.

Yep. I played alot of 1404 and 2070 and ALWAYS had to put on full-refund when demolishing buildings, because I simply had to plan out and tear down half the city to lay out stuff in an aesthetically pleasing way for me xD

Bluprintmode existed in 1404 when you had venice

and with hotkey M you can move built building around which is very usefull if you've to reorganize your city or production chain :)

There might be a delay before it deploys (I have to check) but still very useful when the pesky pirates are crossing the other side of the island and you wanna get them.

So its like Anno 1701 and 1404, the best Anno's in the series. With an actually interesting and good idea from 2205 with the additional sessions and places. If these additional sessions are maps with island from like South America, Africa and Asia where you have colonies and have to produce good to transport back into the main continent. Then its fire! Its like in 1701 with the embassitors from the 4 nativ tribes which have certain good for you. Cant wait to see the first real gameplays when the game comes out. The last 2 Anno's were pure shite!

* Currently * not planned. For release atleast. 1404 and 2070 had one, so it's not unlikely... HOWEVER you can still cooperate and designate teams in normal Multiplayer. And maybe some people will mod it.

Better buy now on Steam before they make it an Epic-Exclusive. Steam assured you can still buy DLCs and so on after launch but on April 16th Ubisoft will cancel their relationship with Steam. So if you want Anno 1800 in your Steam library, better buy now. If you don't like it you can still refund it 14 days after purchase.

I played the beta, and *players should know* that this is more like a graphical update for Anno 1404. You have somewhat short gameplay, with the "forced" build-setup _(buildings have to be built in specific places in order to reach max potential)_ . I managed to reach beta endgame in aprox 5-7 hours, and the "locked" _(full release)_ features were not many _(maybe 2 hours more of gameplay)_ . With that said, I think this is for those having a chill gameplay with friends. This will most likely be a game with DLC's _(because of all the small things like the zoo and different bugg items)_ . So expect a bit of cash grabbing. Nothing to care about tho, if you love the Anno games.

It's not that it was too complex, but that it was not complex enough. You only had to throw around some numbers and everything was done in a few minutes. Also you didn't have to think about transportation of wares, they were quite literally teleported everywhere in an instant. Thus the complains.

idk if you noticed but there are only a handful of major players on youtube in each language and the rest copy/reproduce everything that the biggest names do.. much like the gaming industry itself these days.. the smaller studios are like vultures scavenging on popular titles and reproducing the same shit cloning everything and slapping a new label on it with their own signature.. he generated Anno 1800 content without original footage and still gained 150,000 views..

it's only easy money if the majority of people actually watch the video -- if the content is boring the majority of people will stop the video halfway or in my case at 2:19 to comment on how shit the video is.. KZbin algorithm requires people to remain active throughout a video to ensure their advertisements are seen - if most people are only here for 2-3minutes the advertisement won't have enough time to show up therefore making no money for the sponsor of the advertisement and incidentally for the person that uploaded the video.. so really, the jokes on him for making shit content - it's a lot harder than it used to be, to make a profit on KZbin..
