Tbh you're the one that inspires me to pick up a banjo and play. I don't think there's one on guitar center for $200 though. And I have $220 in guitar center gift cards, + $50 from my aunt, + a $20 scratch off. Maybe I can afford one but I also really need electric guitar strings. I prefer 3 packs, not necessary. Which banjo do you have?? I love the twang

Hello there, I’ve been practicing the banjo for about two days with your lesson series (they’re great) I’m on lesson one working on one of the rolls and I noticed when I pick a slight bit faster, my pointer finger tends to hover way higher above the strings than I would like it to, I play guitar and when I pick finger style that doesn’t happen I’m using finger picks by the way, if that matters at all any tips or do I just need to try and break the habit somehow?

Just be mindful and play slowly while you develop good habits.
