Furina was the first ‘Archon’ character I ever pulled. I love both her story and her kit so much!

Agree, her personality really threw us all off. She was so bratty that there was no lead in to how she would be likeable, what a well written character.

I have figured out Furina is putting on a mask and is in fact insecure and desperate inside pretty soon after we first met her and I am proud of it. I also love her voice acting that did not make it obvious instantly but made it obvious as soon as you noticed that all the silly stuff she's coming up with is not actually from her head but someone has to mention it first. All in all, the Fontaine Archon quest chain did make things clear enough to let me enjoy that I did figure out some things while still being huge surprise on how all the loose ends got tied at the end. That makes this story my favorite in all of Genshin so far. But I agree that in general she as a character comes up behind Nahida, not ahead of her.

i adored Furina at the very start. I like Fischl and her imaginative, dramatic, flamboyant persona. And Furina was in the same ballpark. Not like, say, the dreary, serious and self-important Archons of certain other regions. ps: Furina didn't come across as bratty to me. The Electro Archon was the real brat. Throwing a tantrum and locking herself in her room and saying "screw you" to the vision holders.

@@saurusness .. also, not only trying to arrest the traveller over some obscure law - but inventing that law once her spy found out the Traveller was arriving, just so she had an excuse to arrest him (in an attempt to fulfil the promised "dramatic trial" she was expecting)

I would say Raiden was broken after what happened with her sister and friends. She lost everything. She was not fit to be a leader and was never meant to be one. I wouldn’t call a mentally broken person as bratty.

Honestly it's perfectly normal to not stand a character like furina when you first see her & then she wins you over as the story progresses. Same thing happened for me in Nahida case, absolutely hated her design (still kinda do) but her story just won me over. On the other I was head over heels the first time I saw raiden but then as I went through Inazuma quest the more I hated her.

Amazing analysis as usual! I love the way u are narrating sounds because its very authentic and soothing 😇💙 Furina really did a 180° on me and im glad to say that i really resonate with her story. Lets hope for a second story quest so we can finally get the missing Focalor & Egeria lore which was disappointingly absent in the archon quest! Furina honestly saved my account because her universal buff allows the lesser popular long on field hyper carries like Cyno, Xiao and Itto to play without needing to switch out to recast their skills. Also, Furina will be relevant for the long run because every new healer synergises with her, so she also makes healers relevant again!

I love the fine print at the start - this is a moment where I feel the lack of saurusnessDisguise hard 😎 I was so sad to lose my 50/50 when she first ran and I am sooooo ready to have her in my team rotation, thank you Clorinde for giving me a guarantee instead of coming home. When I finished the archon quest, Furina became instantly my new favorite character in Genshin, and one of my favorites overall. Perfect design, vc, kit, personality, EVERYTHING. Right now I have a total of 150 wishes + 30 pity just for her, and I'm ready to triple crown her and beat the sh*t out of Celestia. Furina might not be the archon we all thought she was, but she sure deserves the praise and recognition of one.

I love, love your analysis! The whole time I keep nodding to myself agreeing to what u say on your vid! I admit during the early phases of the Fontaine AQ I didn't like her much but she's grown on me as time goes on, much more so when I finally played her SQ. And who would've thought that I got her at early pity of 54 on her first banner lol xD And ever since then she's been a mainstay on my team. Gameplay wise her buffs are amazing like I enjoy Mademoiselle Crabaletta going at dem enemies :3

I just wished for her in 36 pity in a new account I did a 10 pull but in the first wish I got qiqi. I was disapointed thinking about the farming but then 3 wishes after Furina came home then in another 4 wishes tighnari appeared.🎉🎉😊

Furina is the only character I've ever regretted skipping, so now that I have guaranteed (and finally my new shiny Jean) I'm throwing everything i have at her. I'm ready to explore the desert if I have to lol Your guides are always so helpful, you give enough options and explanations to really make sure we know which built or team might fit our playstyle the best. Once I build her, I'm going to try her out with Neuvi, Xianyun (and Gaming cause Diluc didn't bother to come home yet), and I think if I manage to get Sigewinne I'll add her to Neuvi's permanent team and switch Baizhu to Furina's. I can't wait to play around with her 🤩

Making us think she was just a pompous brat, only to later subvert that first impression to make us love her, was definitely their plan all along (although a lot of people seemingly liked her selfish ridiculousness act for its own sake). I knew they'd have to make her genuinely likeable by the end, but they pulled this off far better than I expected. Like Xianyun, she can enable a lot of teams that would otherwise be kind of terrible; my current favorite is C6 Faruzan + Furina + Zhongli/Layla + Sayu/Jean.

Kqm recommended a Neuv-Furina team: c0 Neuv, c0 Furina, c0 Kaz, c0 ZL, this team, Kqm didn't say Neuv need a Prototype Amber when go w/ ZL, Kaz and Furina means Neuv w/ only HP mechanic already goes well w/ c0 Furina that healer is optional in this team. Kqm also recommended a Clorinde team w/ Clorinde-Nahida-Fischl-Furina, no specific on constellations nor weapons on Nahida on the team, so even c0 Furina and Sac Fragment Nahida can still doing well in this Clorinde team. And Alhaitham can run well w/ Furina w/ Nahida-Kuki, and no, if Kqm didn't specify Nahida need to use Prototype Amber, that means you can run this team w/ c0 or c2 Kuki and the remaining members at c0 where Nahida can run Sac just fine. If Kqm doesn't specify on weapon or constellation choices, c0 Furina can be run in a team well w/o the need of Prototype Amber in there, nor a team-wide healer as long as the healer you run are exceptional on the other things they provide (Benny, Kuki, Jade/signature Neuv, Clorinde, etc.).

Funny that Kqm would recommend that Clorinde team - it would be fine in the first rotation but awful after that because no healer! Sure Clorinde does self-heal, but once the rest of the team is sapped to 50% HP it really does tank the team's damage. My Clorinde team is Clorinde/Furina/Nahida/Baizhu - capping out Furina's stacks gives more extra damage than Fischl provides, Baizhu's shield means Clorinde no longer gets knocked around all the time, and the extra dendro turns it into a quickbloom team which just utterly destroys anything and everything! Legit one of the strongest teams in the game imo

@raptori Well, Kqm is well-known as "poverTC", as in, they tend to disregard vertical investment in their calc, so if they can comfortably recommend the Clorinde-Furina-Nahida-Fischl team w/o Furina c2 or PA on Nahida, and even Zy0x said the team I mentioned here don't really need a healer (he said you can put a healer or put PA on Nahida for more Fanfare stack, but Clorinde can already heals enough to give enough FF stacks for full clearing the Abyss), so I just want to mention that while c0 Furina undoubtedly needs a healer, depends on teams, you can run a single-target healer just fine as long as the other thing they provide is massive for the team they're in. The only main dpses that are dysfunctional when run w/ Furina without her c2 are Arle and, to the lesser extent, Itto and Childe, so c0 Furina is actually way more versatile and universal than you think.

Honestly, story is opposite to me. It appeared a bit silly and amusing in the start, in just a bit negative way, But after all quests was done i was deeply disappointed in it. I have not bought "sacrifice" or "suffering" narrative. I see this unit more like a well made robot or homunculi who just performed the task she was made for. Focalors is a real tragic figure, Nvlt is a well made character. furina is just a jester. Subjective ofc, but this is how i see it. Forever in a skip list.

Interesting perspective. I don't think I can ever see it that way mainly due to her very human development in her story quest and subsequent events, where she grapples with the trauma of the stage, and at the same time the love she still has for the theatre. I love that her story doesn't stop with the Archon quest, I see the end of it as the beginning for her. Maybe she felt a bit like a puppet to you because she was very much trying to close herself off from everything around her to just function day to day? I disagree with your point strongly, but I can see where you're coming from xD

Unknown person tells our unit a big disaster approaches and our unit need to take responsibility and work for unknown length of time to prevent it. Details of disaster is also undisclosed. Our unit do not question legitimacy of the disaster claims. Not questioning persons identity. No question asked. No doubts. Unit begin to work on plan without doubts, despite she do not have any personal attachment to anybody in Fontain. Honestly, do you see here anything remotely resembling human behaviour? Only specially constructed mimic, preprogrammed to have specific neural traits can do such a thing. Well, i really do not see a anything human in this unit. At least, not in presented scenario. And this is just a beginning. I can go on and on how everything around her story is defying logic and normal human psychology. Hope it was interesting to you. See ya!

The bit where she's talking about Furina being bratty is from her Fontaine first impressions video, which was posted during 4.0 ...months before we got the finale. That's kinda the point of that part of the video - she disliked her at first, but the story changed her mind!
