I have had really good luck with accusize products. Just a heads up JT3 and MT3 are not the same. That JT3 taper is the other side of the adapter that goes into the chuck itself.

The best thing I ever did for my shop was installed a central vacuum cleaning system in , alls you have to deal with is a hose, I did it all myself in a vacuum sits outside

I can see that with a wood shop and sawdust. I've tried to use the shop-vac, but the long metal shavings just clog it up and create a big Brillo pad halfway down the hose.

Probably, but I noticed that this combo runs so much more true than the horrible Central Machinery arbor. So I will leave it like this for a while, until I get a better one.

@AllStarWeldingSC It's a better product then the std. morse taper. Makes sense now I have had some troubles with product sold by dealers. Now I buy over the counter and check the product before I pay. I real is a pain now, with so much rubbish being sold by machine dealers.

I would think those set screws may be problematic with smaller drill bits/higher rpms.

The set screws will always be against a 3/4" shank, regardless of drill size. If it's a twist drill, it will be in the drill chuck, which has a 3/4" Weldon, and if it's a annular cutter, they all have 3/4 Weldon regardless of size. The set screws are pretty beefy too, about a 1/4". I was glad to see that.

In my experience, milling bits do not work with a drill press. Because of vibration, created by the milling bit, chuck separates from the spindle. This isn't a problem with drilling bits, as those work under downward pressure. Also, this isn't a problem on milling machines, as those have long chuck holding bolt through the spindle. That's one thing. Another problem is most of the drill presses have ball bearings for the spindle, which cannot handle any lateral loads exerted during the milling process.

Yeah. That is all well understood. But these are annular cutters. They are NOT milling bits. They are basically really thick hole saws. They DON't go sideways, like a milling bit does. They go down, through the steel, like a drill bit. It is all downward. At no time during my video do I represent this as a milling bit. They are annular cutters. Basically a combination of a hole saw and a drill bit. Of you haven't tried one, please do. They are amazing. Better than a hole saw or a TCT hole saw, and much better than stepping up through several size drill bits to get to final size, or just using a 1" drill bit. It just cuts the outer diameter, has a wall thickness of about 1/8-3/16 thick. The center pin punches out the center plug after it finishes. I know they look like end mills. But yes, you are right about the bearings. People try to run milling bits in a drill press, and ruin their press. And I would imagine that it would not leave a successful pass.

@@AllStarWeldingSC Thanks for elaborating. I didn't use those before. I did try using, however briefly, milling bits with a drill press and Vevor 2D table. As long as you try cutting a grove (with slight downward pressure) in a soft material, it works marginally... With no precision whatsoever. As soon as you try cutting a side surface - the chuck might pop off. It's just not safe. Not to mention it can be destructive to the drill press. So, yeah... A drill press won't cut it, it's not a milling machine. P.S. I think you probably know all this. I wrote this information for the benefit of other people, who might have the wrong idea about their drill press.

MT# is for Morse taper & JT# is Jacob Taper, just to give you the right Nomenclature. Either way that's a good idea, you can also do that with a MT3 Collet if you want to try using End mills in your drill press too. I use it when I use small End mills when I need to make slot cuts or minor machining.

Thanks for the info. Nomenclature never has been my thing. I just know how to run it. When I need something, I ask for "You know that thing that goes in that other thing" 😄 🤣
