An Annular Solar Eclipse occurs when the Moon appears to pass directly in front of the Sun, but does not cover the Sun completely because it is too far away. There appears to be a “ring of fire” around the Moon. The Annular phase of the eclipse is only visible along a narrow path of annularity. Surrounding areas will see a partial solar eclipse. In this eclipse the longest the annular phase of the solar eclipse will last fewer than 2 minutes, and it will be shorter in most locations. During an annular solar eclipse, it will not go completely dark, like it does in a total eclipse, but it will get slightly dimmer. I personally noticed a temperature drop and the deepening of the sky’s color during a 75% partial solar eclipse, however I would not have noticed this if I was not paying attention. No annular or partial solar eclipse is safe to look at without eye protection. Visit this website for eye protection details- www.wikihow.com/View-the-Sun Even 99.9% coverage can potentially cause eye damage.
Please subscribe to my channel as I am uploading an eclipse video every 2 weeks, and I usually upload something else in between those weeks! I go through eclipses chronologically.
