A lot of "haunted" places have electromagnetic stuff going on that's a little less than we can sense consciously but can sense a little so it puts us on edge. Gets the fight, flight, or freeze response going.

So can you please explain evil spirits, or fallen angels, and moving objects in a home etc. What about when someone is possessed with a demonic entity? Could you please elaborate on this. Exorcism is a real thing as growing up as a child I saw these things first hand. I would appreciate some clarity.

I'm an Indonesian Orthodox. Thanks for the explaination. I watched a priest video says that Lucifer creates ghosts since he wanted to be God who an only creator of universe, ghosts not the fallen angels. How do you see this? Thanks father🙏🏻

Would the other Orthodox churches that are not Greek accept this interpretation? Secondly, I have heard atheists and other secularists uses reasons much like yours to explain away the Resurrection of Our Lord.

To be honest, I don't even know what "Greek Orthodox" exactly means (and I'm not a Greek Orthodox)... But anyway, this interpretation is in the line with the teachings of Church Fathers and is widely spread where I live, though other interpretations can be also presented (based on our Holy Tradition, including the Bible). For instance, if saints of God visit us, they could technically be counted as "ghosts", though they are actually more alive than us and therefore we don't see them in that way. There are also many narrations that inform us that some saints encountered spirits of the dead, but the fact how reliable these stories are and how they should be read, that is an issue of its own.

Technically, the parable of rich man and Lazarus does not say that Lazarus couldn't come back to the land of the living - Abraham just points out that such act would be in vain. Also, how about all those cases when the saints of the Orthodox Church (e.g. Anthony the Great... I think) have encountered with the spirits of the departed ones who were not Christians? This is not to say that ghosts are real. In fact, I agree with you here, father. But if you are to say ghosts are not in the Bible or real (which is true), perhaps it needs some more passages, for example from the Psalms and the book of the Ecclesiastes.
