Like 99% of the comments are talking about how he's saying it wrong. People, a script was handed to him, and he read from it. He probably doesn't have a say in whether it's dubbing or dubbed lol

The used dubbing because in japanese theres word ダビング, which is a loan word from english dubbing, but it only really refers to dubbing as in copying recorded media, not dubbed media. They intentionally made the script a little wrong so that the “contestant” could make the mix up about piracy and it would make for a funny situation. It’s just an unserious comedy show after all

They are given script understood by Japanese, I believe "Is that ok?" I think the Japanese might get confused by "that" and started wondering what "that" means But if you said "is dubbing okay"? They hear the word "dubbing" and "okay" so they know that the person is asking if dubbing is okay to them I'm explaining from the view point of someone who has learnt foreign languages. When i can't understand what the sentence means, I reconstruct it based on the limited words I can understand
