I am a Stopmotion animator and I love this video . I want to take my animation to a new level and do dramatic stories. I was so impressed by this film from a stopmotion aspect,

I would like to see a in-depth (sort of toturial) of the animation process itself. How is it possible to achive a realistic body movement?
@davidcohen61729 жыл бұрын
+Willem Probst Y'know, that's hard for us to do in a single 5-6 minute segment. But over time we are working on getting every part of the animation process into Artisans. This year we've focused a lot on character design. I think we're likely to look at character animation next. Eventually, we'll get into animation costume design/production design, compositing, etc.

+David Cohen That sounds great! The quality in which you produce these videos is outstanding and deserves more views. Thanks for the quick response! I look forward for more videos!

+Henry Pucknell It's an old concept but with 3D printing it can now be done with much more detail. Look for an upcoming report in Variety on Laika, which pioneered the use of 3D printing to make faces for stop-motion puppets.

+David Cohen it started with Coraline, right?

+TheMatoPato patoo Laika and Coraline pioneered the use of 3D printing to make thousands of faces for puppets. Did you see our Laika anniversary features? Lots on that. variety.com/2015/film/spotlight/laika-stop-motion-animation-3d-printing-expressive-faces-1201659264/

I thought the movie was fully 3D rendered like pixar animations, do they move the actual sculptures in every framerate to make a scene or what ?
@gelatinousjoe79798 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is stop motion, not rendered.
