Real, I only play the game off and on a few times a week with friends so not super competitive or consistent but I've been around for 10+ years. I remember getting package drops from watching matches and once they removed that I never had the drive to actively tune in or be involved in pickems and other stuff related to majors. I think if the just let people get the drops again it would improve viewship of the majors, increase community involvement, and make valve a good bit of cash from ad revenue alone.

I don't understand Valve at all. They have a community who is willing to spend insane amounts of money on a game which receives very little game related updates. Yet they spit in their faces on every level. I don't play CS, but when Anomaly covers new updates I often think "That's it? This is what you give your community, who is making you billions?". Basically the community is doing all the work already, finding bugs, making new maps and skins, etc. all they have to do, is to release it in to the game. I'm only observing this from the outline, but this just seems so sad. All they have to do is to actually work on their game and release skins, which they mostly implement from the community anyway. Don't get me wrong, I think that this is amazing, but it is also less work for them.

to be fair as well, the vast majority of people got significantly less pickems points which means less free packages as well, even if its 1 less per player that is an ABSURD amount less so in all honestly it makes a LOT of sense given the new pickems system for the last couple of majors being harder to get points and then this last major specifically having a million upsets in every round of the tournament. so many people got pickems ruined, i had 1 singular friend that got a gold coin, the rest got silver, usually i would have 1 or 2 friends get diamond and the rest gold a couple silver. that one free souvenier matters when it comes to numbers like these

yes, but the majority are unboxed around the major. Paris, being the last CSGO major, was the best selling of all majors so comparisons to it are a bit skewed. Copenhagen and Shanghai are better comparisons and even there the drop off is concerning.

Part of the problem is also the sheer number of stickers compare how many signatures and team stickers we got in 2014 to 2016 are far less then 2019 to 2024 they nearly tripled the amount of stickers per major and they do all look very similar only changing in color / placement golds are also handed out by the first full it seems and no longer stand out or seem rare in quick glance unless their your standard old ones from 2014 to 2016, imo

To make things clear, Preset Position - is a sticker position on a gun with specific coordinates (x,y, rotation angle). CS skin collecting used to be fun back when everyone recognised what all the skins were, I belive there are over 1200 weapon skins now excluding knives, gloves and all the other kinds off collectibles. I get that they need to release new skins every now an then but on average they are releasing 5 new collections every year not including stickers and pins and so on. At this rate we will have 2000 different skins soon and then 3000. When will it get boring for everyone? I had enough last year and got rid of mostly all my items and I feel like it's killing CS. Worst of all though. Operations were completely ruined. It used to be a fun time of the year when you could partake in fun unique missions with your friends but now you buy a armory pass for stars so you can open more cases.

You can apply 5x identical stickers from 5 different majors. We wanted one major with rereleased borderless so that people could make their own k14 style crafts that would appreciate in value over years. Not permanently the same thing.

All the sticker backgrounds look the same each major. The gold effect looks like poop and not shiny at all. And you can't even hunt for your favorite player's autograph on a skin you like.

25.02.2022 Fromsoft published Elden Ring, 21.06.2024 Fromsoft published their first Elden Ring DLC in the size of a own game, 2025 they will publish Elden Ring Nightreign. Published in a short period of time. What did we get from Valve? Valve published Cs2 witch has half the content of Csgo and the gameplay STILL sucks. Since 21.02.2022 we got no operations, no christmas or halloween updates and bugfixes are slow as f*ck. Valve only cares about our money and not for the game anymore. Csgo was from their heart, Cs2 just for money.
