i just got this one, in this exact colourway, from my wifey for christmas. i rode the Smith SquadXL before it and that one only lasted three seasons before the foam completely disintegrated into a crumbly smush (always dried it and stored it in the cloth and dry aswell???) Can't wait to try it in three weeks in the Austrian Alps especially with the MFI Facemask since i always used a facemask on my cold sensitive face!

I love the look of the M5, but have similar facial features, and the M4 fits my nose much better.

Would you say the Polarised lenses better in the snow or just a different option? Just wondering whether to go with the Polarized Sunny Onyz on the M5 or standard Perceive Sunny Onyz. Thanks

What would you go for out of the Anon M5 and the Smith squad mag ? I’m looking for a medium to large goggle. I run hot so good venting is important. I love the idea of the mfi but I think the squad mag look amazing. Do you think one is better than the other ? Lens tech seems pretty close!

Hey Rob! Tough call as they're both great options, but the M5 might narrowly take the lead due to its Flat Toric lens shape, vs the cylindrical shape of the Squad, which is more prone to perceived distortion when looking through the lens. That said, you're spot on about the aesthetics of the Squad Mag. I have a pair myself and love them! Can't go wrong either way.

HI! Yes, that's a fairly normal occurrence. Some of it depends on the weather conditions in addition to how much heat your body is producing as well.

The lenses for the M4 or the M5, I am looking for 3 lenses (cloudy, overcast, and sunny 10% or less). BUT, my main thing is, I need lenses that have zero or very little colour cast/tint to them. I am a photographer, so I am looking for lenses that are as true to life looking, and not that deep orange/yellow tint stuff.

Merry Christmas, I watched your reviews so many times, I am from Romania and your videos are the go to ones when we want to get professional info. I have a question, I ordered the Anon M5 and now I have second thoughts about this, I know the M4 are larger but the view? Periferal, wide, etc is the same or better on the M4? I am a snowboarder and for me the thing that counts is the view. The M5 frame, smaller than the M4 afects the view? Thank you and have agreat year end.

Hello Andrei! Thank you so much for the kind words and for trusting us as the place to get your gear info. The M4 is slightly bigger than the M5. Dimensions are as follows: M4- 7 inches wide, 2 inches depth, 4 inches tall M5- 6.5" wide, 1.75" depth, 3.75" tall I wouldn't necessarily say that one is better than the other at delivering a wide view range. It really depends on your size requirement and personal preference. Some people don't mind an oversized look and feel if it means they achieve the broadest viewing perspective possible, while others like slimmed down and less obtrusive design even if it means a slightly smaller range of view. If it helps to visualize, I'm 6"1 tall and 195 lbs. I could technically ride either model, but prefer the fit and feel of the M4. Those with smaller dimensions will likely benefit more with the M5. I tried the M5 recently but the inner foam covered the corners of my eyes so have bought the M4 instead which is perfect. I would say M5 is closer to medium. Height M4 103mm; M5 96mm. Width M4 184mm; M5 170mm.

@@Ash-126 Glad I’ve helped. I wanted the M5 for the newer lens tech but due to size wasn’t to be. Only just got the measurements from Anon a couple of days ago which probably would’ve altered my initial purchase choice. Other videos/articles kept saying the M5 is a replacement for the M2. Anyway, M4 came yesterday and love it.
