I was there last January. This place is amazing. I spent two days but I needed three days. One of the best tourist places in India. Frankly this projects was not executed for making money. It is the iconic project of India. We Indians, in most cases visit religious place. We really don’t have too many world class places in India. This place is must visit for every India.

I am a student from Northeast India, this year our state Arunachal Pradesh was paired with Gujarat in Yuva Sangam Phase -IV and fortunately I got selected and got to see the "Statue of Unity". I have to say it's marvelous and also, it is situated in a very beautiful place near the banks of Narmada. Our bus driver also explained us about the genuine development. Also, Gujarati people are so hospitable. Overall, our youth team liked Gujarat a lot ❤❤❤

Rather than statues and bullet trains install collision avoidance systems on trains. Just the number of train accidents over the last few years is unheard of anywhere else in the world and we are wasting money on a bullet train , the project for the bullet train is already over budget and going to take much longer than originally anticipated. Just a quick correction: The Statue of Unity is actually located in Kevadia, Narmada district, not Vadodara. As someone from Bharuch, Gujarat, I felt it was important to point this out since it's a common misconception. It's about 90 km from Vadodara, so visitors heading there should plan accordingly.
