India should be cautious about hosting the Olympics due to several reasons. The massive financial burden of organizing such an event can strain the economy, diverting resources from essential areas like infrastructure, healthcare, and education. India's existing sports infrastructure is underdeveloped, and the construction of new facilities could lead to wastage if not maintained post-Olympics. Additionally, logistical challenges, including traffic, pollution, and security concerns, could hinder the event's success. Instead, India might benefit more by focusing on grassroots sports development and improving existing infrastructure.

Hosting Olympics are quite costly and in the recent history we have seen it not generating profits and no long term benefits it will generate employment but that will be for a shorter time, Olympics will bring infrastructure development but we have seen how india works in this department which is fill of corruption, mismanagement and more over we are not a sporting nation yet to utilise all the sports venues after Olympics are done. Overall its loose loose situation for us if we host 2036.

The Olympics should become more collaborative. For example, all participant countries should contribute some money to the host country. This way the financial burden won't fall on a single host country. Another option is to allow the host country to host 3-4 consecutive Olympics so that it gets enough opportunity to recover the amount it invested and also develop the sport in its country.
