All I can say is a lot of these folk were absolutely great people, we were born into this, and most people would help out anyone (I’m still friends with guys I grew up with) friends for life..... so many great people and memories, laughs and so much learned, Glasgow’s some place 👍

Mark S Mark S nah if that exists it’s just some nutcase extremists. I think it’s a language. English is full of words from other languages. Portuguese and Spanish are really similar. Going by your logic, you could say Portuguese is a dialect of Spanish... Scots has words from English, Scandinavia and Gaelic. Is it really just a dialect? I get the argument for it being a dialect but there’s a bit of a grey area here. No clear cut answer. Depends on one’s world view, perspective etc.

Yeah, it's like that "lovable rogue" phrase you hear in the news so much these days. All of the people who say that dumb shit deserve to get mugged by a gang of these "lovable rogues" they love so much. Let's see if they're still saying it then.

Love seeing the old fashioned policeman, my gran used to tell me stories of a local police SGT where she lived who would just use a stick and beat the shit out of the local men If they were fighting outside the pub and all the men would scatter when they seen him coming
