There was a cartridge conversion 1851 Navy with a Richards loading gate we were denied? And they replaced it with one covered in engravings? As Big Boss famously said, "It's a nice gun, I'll give you that, but the engravings give you no tactical advantage whatsoever...unless you were planning on auctioning it off as a collector's item." For shame Capcom.

I've always wondered why big boss would say that about the engravings. Is there anybody on this planet that thinks getting their weapon engraved would give them an advantage? Is it logical to think someone else would think that? Am I overthinking ?

@@viktormartinez1405In a supernatural setting, it might. In real life, or RE’s case, a fictional setting still rooted in biology, I don’t think so.

@@viktormartinez1405 well several reasons, Big Boss was kind of mentoring Ocelot(who already had a problem with showing off too much) so he was trying to move him more into focusing on the practical and unlocking his potential. Also in the field engravings are generally worse than not giving you an advantage, they catch dirt, carbon and catch on things more than a smooth or matte finish will. So there's also some legitimate reasons to avoid them in a practical setting.

16:02 I have to assume the flamethrower was meant to be a third weapon from one of the previous REmakes meant to be given to the player as a reward for exploration; we were already given the MP5 and M4 for exploring the castle, so it'd make sense if the flamethrower were a reward for exploring the Island. Capcom cut all incendiary weapons from the remake (grenades are gone as well) so my theory is the RE Engine doesn't handle the number of enemies Capcom wanted on screen if fire particles are also in play, which is supported by how much of a hard time it has with multiple enemies on-screen in Re3R and Re8. It's a shame because Incendiary Grenades were fun and I'm curious if the flamethrower would've been a weapon for use against Regeneradors, but we'll likely never know.

Hey there! I believe that I'm the experienced modder that put the Glock 18 back into the game :) I just wanted to add something: they shipped this DLC with a broken rig! You can see it in the cutscenes, the hand position is incorrect and the magazine is protruding out of the gun. I've since fixed this, but yeah - Capcom got real lazy on this one. Great video as always, have a good one!

The SG in SG09R stands for Silver Ghost. They just updated the Silver Ghost into the SG09R which is a modified HK USP.

Revelations 2 has a lot of unused weapon related content. you know the raid mode exclusive weapons all have unique properties and descriptions in story mode? The Colt Anaconda is also classified as an EX weapon in story mode, even though it lacks a description (it uses a placeholder one) and infinite ammo by default. It's also far stronger than the unused story version of the Pale Rider. As with all weapons in story mode, activating infinite ammo for every weapon, will activate it for all of these guns as well. (even the Anaconda, which probably was meant to have it to begin with)
