CL her self said they all waned but the couldn't . That's why Minzy left. YG didn't want support Bom so it was easer to disband them. Minzy knew this and she left.

In terms of the goodbye song, the song was written by Cl herself and it was a letter for minzy because prior to the disbandment Minzy left the group..then they just made it a goodbye song for the fans and Minzy thats why in the video only 3 of them were present, Cl Dara and Bom..Yg really did dirty things to 2ne1 but im also thankful they gave us one of the best girl group ever..you can check the video titled What happened to 2ne1 by internathan if im not mistaken to get a glimpse of what really happened to 2ne1..thank you again for reacting to them

Minzy left the group when her contract ended because 2ne1's company didn't give her many opportunities outside the sparse opportunities 2ne1 was given. 2ne1 was going to continue as 3 members after that, but then their company forced them to disband (which prompted them to release goodbye). None of the four members wanted 2ne1 to end but their label didn't support them the way they should have. 2ne1 was already one of the biggest girl groups in kpop, and honestly would be even bigger today if they had received the treatment they deserved.

In goodbye, minzy already left the company due to not giving her any solo activities when the group wasn’t active. That’s why you only see 3 members. A couple months after she left, yg announced their disbandment without any of the girls knowing. Dara explained once she found out they were disbanded through the news. 2ne1 had a few scandals and tbh yg didn’t treat them well…

Actually Goodbye was the group's last attempt to continue 2ne1 but as CL said, it just not the same so they can no longer continue. They have always said that they will be there as long as they can produce music they think is worthy. But Minzy's departure sealed the deal. I do not say that YG Ent is blameless with happened but what you have to know about YG Ent is that if you have achieved certain number of years of experience in the music industry is that the artist is mostly in-charge of producing their song. In fact, YG Ent is one of the music companies who treated their artists well.

Even after all these years, it’s still so difficult for me to listen to Goodbye. CL wrote this song as a letter for Minzy. In this mv, it only had Bom, Dara, and CL. Minzy's voice has always been strong. She's was one of probably my top 5 vocalists when they were active as 2NE1, and probably still in my top 10 these days. As for the drama, you gonna need to sit down with a 2NE1 fan IRL and just have them lay it all out for you. YG is an awful company that not only squandered 2NE1, they repeatedly attacked the members by telling them they were ugly, and then as you heard later held members like CL basically hostage under contract while allowing them to release next to nothing. One by one, each member escaped from that craphole, but sadly Minzy landed in another company that did the exact same thing to her AGAIN.

For Information about 2NE1 and their disbandment : Before disbandment, 2NE1 had some "scandals" Bom's close friend had passed away. That's why she went to the psychologist while she was in USA and was using the medicine that the psychologist gave her. But later, when their work in America was finished, they returned to Korea. The medicine the doctor gave to Bom was illegal in Korea. But this drug is legal in USA and using for treatment. And she didn't know about this of course. That's why the media published news such as "Bom is smuggling drugs into Korea". Their company, YG, did not protect them in any way. Not long after, another media outlet defended Bom and explained the incident. But some peoples still blame Bom for the disbandment and hate her so much... But she's totally innocent. Minzy, on the other hand, did not renew her contract because YG did not give her enough attention when her contract expired. (Minzy's supposed solo projects were being cancelled) Later on, Bom also didn't renew her contract and the group had two left. Because of this, 2NE1 suddenly disbanded. Minzy couldn't join Goodbye era because YG didn't tell Minzy that such a farewell song was being prepared. And CL wrote this song just in 10 minutes. Ans this song actually is for Minzy written by leader od group CL. Even 2NE1 learned of their disbandment from the news. CL and Dara renewed their contracts but did nothing for years. The lyrics "Don't trust the broken stories" in Bom's Goodbye line is actually about her being slandered...

Firstly, it's funny that you are a TopBom bias bec that's the infamous alien couple/ship. They are the funniest of their groups and the chemistry is something you need to watch for yourself. 2NEBANG are friends irl so it's all good. Bom was the one with the glasses in Lollipop. True, Hate you is very catchy. A few other bsides have the same vibe, mellow, catchy club beats. Park Bom slayed Gotta Be You. It's so fun to watch live. Falling in Love has one of my favorite rap verses from CL. The acoustic live version is cool bec of their harmonies and adlibs. Minzy is mostly described with the most stable vocals even if she does the most dancing (main dancer). Her solo ballads are incredible. Do check out her Work 01 Uno EP and her latest TEAMO. She will release a new single Dec12. Yes she left a few months before the group disbanded. She said she had an album prepared but they company never released it. During the hiatus she finished college (magna cumlaude) and set up a dance academy but she still spiraled into depression bec of the mistreatment and challenges they were all going through. CL and Dara equally had a hard time and tried to support all the group members. Unlike other groups, the bond and sisterhood between 2NE1 members are quite amazing. They all want to work together again so maybe in the near future. But all are busy with their solo projects so scheduling is an issue. I enjoyed this. Thanks!

I stopped my other video when yours came up lol warning: long post. After Come Back Home in 2014, the group went on a long hiatus due to Bom being accused of smuggling drugs back in like 2010. The drugs were actually medication for her ADD and to help with PTSD when she witnessed a soccer teammate's death during her high school days when she was living in the US. She was diagnosed and prescribed in the States but unfortunately the medications aren't legal in Korea. Bom went back to Korea to start her training and while she was there she got her medications mailed to her. Granted it was done a bit shady, however, YG and Bom were cleared and since then she started getting treatment in Korea. Unfortunately Korean netizens dug up that story from years ago and fabricated this narrative that Bom was an addicted druggie and claimed she was given special treatments for being a celebrity. This caused a huge scandal which sent Bom into hiding, essentially. During this long break, Minzy wasn't given any work or promotion and all efforts seemed to go into CL's US debut (that never happened). Minzy chose to not renew her contract and left the group. YG stated that 2NE1 would continue as a trio but YG unexpectedly pulled back and in 2016 disbanded the group. Rumor is they decided to focus full-on with BLACKPINK who made their debut that same year. This is where most of the YG hate comes from. The remaining 2NE1 members were gearing up for a comeback. CL traveled back to Korea to prepare for their album. They were blindsided and weren't aware that they were disbanding. They pretty much found out when we found out. Goodbye was the final gift for BLACKJACKs but sadly because Minzy left, she didn't partake in the song but CL wrote it for her. After the disbandment, Bom left while CL and Dara stayed on in YG. But alas, YG failed them giving them pretty much no attention and support. Minzy signed with a new company and it seemed like things were looking up. She was very active on variety shows and released new music. But then she went quiet. She sued her new company to break contract as they weren't appropriately supporting her as stated in her contract. She won her lawsuit and founded her own agency. Bom made a triumph return in 2019 with the title track Spring ft Dara. She still faced a lot of criticism but it was a successful comeback. She's released a few singles since but currently a bit on the DL. CL left in 2019 and is focusing on her solo career as an independent artist. Since then she's released a mini album and she released her first full length album, Alpha, (which is amazing) not too long ago. Dara finally left just this year and signed with a new agency. She's super active in variety shows and as a host on a few shows. She's done theater and acting. However, with the new change she's stated that she'll make her return to music as she hasn't promoted as a singer once since the disbandment. She's always said that her biggest passion is being a singer but sadly YG refused to give her the proper support. Now that all the girls have left YG and are all on the rise again, BLACKJACKs are dying for a reunion, even if just for one song. I was a BLACKJACK since pre-day 1 and sadly I never got to see them in concert. One of my KPOP goals is to attend a 2NE1 concert so I'm hoping it'll happen soon.

(this is long) but yeah :( the bom scandal was really heartbreaking, they were ending the 'All or nothing' world tour or in the middle, and they suddenly stopped, no one really knew what happened at the time, until the news came out, but everything was weird and yg was silent, we later found out that bom was equally shocked as all blackjacks when she saw the news, she was filming for the program Roomate at the same time and was very popular and a hot topic, later then yg put the statement that she was going to be on hiatus, not letting bom explain or anything and unable to stop the massive notes on what was said about her, all was so big that in Roomate they were cutting the scenes she was done filming and quiting her in a progresing way, It was all very sad and restless for those of us who defended her and waited for her and the group, as it was just on the cusp of their best comeback, on their 2nd full album "Crush", but we always had faith in them, and then CL in the USA preparing proyects (hello bitches), minzy in university and dara in programs if I remember, a lot of war between fans bleaming each member for the hiatus and uncertain future, and THEN MAMA 2015, with CL and the girls like a gift after sooo long, again the hope in the blackjacks hearts, but little we know about the later disband, so yeah all a rollercoster and a bittersweet memory now. But probably some theories said that it was a government plot, to cover up the Ferry accident in those years, since it was something serious and the news did not cover it much, and it was rare that they revived something of Bom that was fixed, and Bom like a target because of her populary in the tv with Roomate and the comeback, but hey, All I know for sure is that everything the girls went through was unfair and as a blackjack felt great helplessness to this day, but yeah even so, once blackjack FOURever blackjack sooo give all the love to the girls individual proyects now, please and thank you

"Gotta Be You" is my favourite 2NE1 song. "Goodbye" has really strong vocal performances, they deliver the sadness. "Falling in Love" is just a playful and good song. Bom really shines in all three songs IMO. 2NE1's story is a long and complicated one, with more than enough drama. But their music and MVs stand as a legacy that cannot be denied.

As others have probably mentioned, "Lollipop" technically wasn't a traditional MV, it was more of a promotional video as part of a commercial.The song, "Lollipop" and this collaboration was actually originally created for a cellphone company commercial that featured BigBang and 2NE1. The song was so popular that they created this video and released it as an MV. The song even made it on major music charts in Korea. This originally was a promotional song (CF) for the cellphone LG CYON Lollipop. The main selling point of the phones were that they came in a bunch of different colors, so that's why the song and MV was so colorful and poppy. Fun fact: F(x) -- SHINee's sister group -- promoted this cellphone with a Chinese boy group and they have their own version of this song. Here is the Chinese version with F(x) and M.I.C. kzbin.info/www/bejne/in-maIaVpLWhjZI This also was the first appearance of 2NE1 as YG's new girl group and it is considered 2NE1's unofficial debut -- they didn't officially debut until about 2 months later with their song "Fire." They were so young at this time. LOL They all were pretty much teenagers. Sungri, the youngest member of BigBang, was around 17 and Minzy, the maknae of 2NE1, was around 15. This song came out in 2009 so BigBang had already debuted 3 years before this and they were becoming a big name group at this point. Collaboration performances like this one between brother/sister groups within the same company and even groups from different companies are not that uncommon. Yes, you don't often see the collaboration performances become so big like "Lollipop" where the song originally used as a commercial hits the music charts, but that just goes to show you how big BigBang and 2NE1 were back in the day. As you have seen, Girls Generation (SM) and 2PM (JYP) -- two of the most attractive Kpop groups in the industry -- even did a commercial/MV together with the song "Cabi" for a water park that was more like a mini TV drama. (Kind of like the Korean version of BayWatch LOL) Collaborations like this one happen more than you think. Once you start looking for them you will find a lot of collaboration projects and performances.

all of 2NE1 can sing-sing. minzy and CL were mostly known for their rapping earlier, so we didn't really get to hear their vocal talents until later on. park bom has a powerful and unique tone, minzy has so much control and technique, CL has the range and volume, and dara is honestly the soft and fresh voice we get in-between.

2NE1 😍😍😍 f(x) and Cpop group - promoted in China 2NE1 and Bigbang - promoted in Korea f(x)'s Chinese version has a video but with low quality. They also have interesting, weird, colourful dresses like 2NE1 in that video. f(x) and SHINee Korean version is a b-side song in their 1st full album Pinocchio. Both versions are really good. 2NE1 and f(x) versions are very different and interesting 😍 Minzy was an SM trainee and trained with f(x) members to debut with f(x) like Seulgi. Minzy is a great vocalist with a beautiful voice, ufortunately YG never promoted her and she was the least popular member of the group. In 2015 Bom had a scandal (basically Bom lived in the USA and she had her doctor there and he prescribed her some medicine that were illegal in South Korea) and the group went on hiatus. During this time CL made her American debut with "Hello Bitches" and "Lifted" and she should have release an album (but never happend) and Dara re-established her acting career. Minzy was the only member without any activity, so after more than a year of hiatus Minzy decided to not renew her contract. She said that during this time she was suffering of depression because of her company. YG always threated the girls very bad, he always called them ugly and also when Blackpink debuted he called them "the pretty version of 2NE1". When 2NE1 debuted Minzy was 15, I can't imagine how hard it was for a little girl to be called ugly from her boss and the public. Unfortunately the agency she signed after YG wasn't better, they gave her a mini album and a single album (with a very cheap MV) in 3 years. Now she is an indipendent artist with her own company.

Minzy is for me one of the original aces of Kpop she has so much talent. She was my bias in 2ne1 even though I’ve loved all the girls since debut. Also CL has actually improved the most over the course of the group he singing has improved a lot and her confidence in her singing increased exponentially. So Goodbye was made for Minzy, she already left the company at that point because not only was she not getting any solo activities when the group was on hiatus, she just wasn’t taken care of like she should have been and she was going through a lot of stress and whatnot as a result. So CL really wanted to make a song for Minzy to let her know that she’s sorry for not being a better leader (even though she was great) and that she wished she could have taken better care of her. When I think about it, Lollipop was technically my first exposure to kpop in like 2008 lol I was so weirded out and I didn't rediscover the song until I took a deep dive into kpop in 2009 after teachers from Korea that did a presentation at my high school. Yes, there's an issue about Bom. The media's saying Bom is a drug user but it's a medication for her and YG ENT didn't protect her. Correct me if I'm wrong.

They actually did but the problem is that Bom's medication is not legal in South Korea. So they had to stop the group's activities because Bom has been banned during the investigation.

@@haides15 she did. The investigation actually happened in 2010...it was closed cause she barely even took the medicine and she got a prescription. But the news of it didn't come out until 2014, and the netizens we're outraged that she got "special treatment". YG released one company statement and one personal statement but that's it. They didn't sue anyone slandering Bom or anything...

It's unfortunate you didn't react to ugly, my favorite 2ne1 song. I'll always advocate for that song based on the hate 2ne1 received from their OWN CEO on their looks. F(x)'s lollipop isn't a cover. They have 2 versions. The first one is in Chinese with Cpop boy group. The 2nd one is Korean with Shinee. Lollipop comes from LG cell phone call Lollipop.

About the issues towards 2ne1 Bom had a drug scandal back at 2014, tho it was all a misunderstanding. When she lived at US she went through a trauma and began taking medication to treat it. Once she moved to Korea she couldn't buy the medication because it was forbidden there so she brought it from US and the police misunderstood as drug smuggling. However YG treated this case too lightly. They let Bom receive a bad reputation, get her sows canceled and didn't ever bother to refute those comments until it was too late and her image kind of got ruined, as well as 2ne1's. So much that when they made a surprise show at MAMA 2015 (I guess) people even said that they saw her bowing as an apology for the trouble she caused Minzy always wished to go solo and showcase her talents but the company didn't provide her enough opportunities and that made her feel incapable and eventually led her to devolop depression and weakened her mind state Dara asked for a album solo release and was never given one. She only has one solo song which was actually a commercial song YG didn't gave them as many comebacks as other companies do to their artists, however CL once mentioned that she had composed a full album for herself and 2ne1 but the company never actually gave them the songs to record

I usually come here for your NCT videos, but I’m excited to see you react to 2NE1 and even more excited for the BigBang marathon. I love the relationships between BigBang and 2NE1 and they are still very close to this day from what I know. Dara has been in a lot of G-Dragons instagram pics and those two have always been super close. If you get the time I’d highly recommend watching BigBang on Weekly Idol because it’s hilarious and shows how funny they are. in the beginning only Park Bom has a shadow then at the bottom of a well, she's alone and hiding. When I watched the video for the first time, these scenes made me very sad. In 2014, at the height of their biggest album - CRUSH (reached the highest kpop entry at that time in BILLBOARD 200) Bom had a "drug scandal". She had a long time trauma since high school and was taking meds illegal to Korea but they had to secretly send to her grandmother. The authorities knew this but let it go since it was medically prescribed. That issue was privately resolved in 2010 but brought up in 2014. YG literally had Bom HIDE im public for A YEAR. NO ONE KNEW WHERE WAS SHE. 2NE1 activities halted and some pursued solo stuff esp CL. In 2015 at MAMA, they surprised fans with the legendary performance and the 1st appearance of BOM, signalling 2NE1's comeback. Sadly, in March 2016 MINZY left the group. YG decided to continue with 3 members. But in NOV 2016 -- YG disbanded the group unbestknown to the girls. It was a complete SHOCK to everyone. They released GOODBYE in Jan. 2017 -- that's why MZ is not in the video. CL originally wrote the song for MZ, but decided to use the song to say goodbye to Blackjacks.

Still crying over Goodbye. It has been a long while since I heard that song. Thanks for the warning but I still stayed to watch and got to see you almost tearing up even if you did not know that full story behind that song. For us that do know, it is always just so heartbreaking. 2ne1 as a group was lovely to watch. not just their songs or performances but also the relationship the girls have with each other. especially their role switch ups: the oldest ones acting childish and the young ones having the mature personality.

Thanks for reacting to 2ne1 for another time. I love your reactions. Unfortunately Bom had an extremely tough time and this is also what her part in the song Goodbye is about. She took anti depressants for a long time because one of her friends died when she still was in the US. She tried to take her medication back to korea but those prescribed pills are illegal in South Korea so she was caught up in a case of drug smuggling. At that time a new girl group made a hate song against Bom and put her surgeries and drug scandal in a bigger spotlight. Bom was seen crying a lot when all of that happened. The media really did her dirty.. :( I bet there are plenty of videos about this case and I'd love if you could react to them
