"Linh discusses their quarter life crisis" is a very valuable segment for you to talk through your own feelings and plans, and for us viewers to reflect on our own life crises in solidarity 😂

Hey linh, I'm Adia Bluesky and I just wanted to say I love how you inserted your views on imperialism and colonialism. As a young Native American who goes to a very white school I have always been taught two different ways at school compared to home. I appreciate that you are aware of the situation and I really appreciate you bringing awareness to others. I feel safe here on you channel and I feel like you welcome everyone no matter their race/ethnicity/religion/sexuality. I am truly grateful for you and your channel.

I so agree with this -- I love their breakdown of Marxism, of how nihilism and pessimism are oppressor tools/speak. Linh, you're amazing, keep doing you & would love to see more content like this! ++ viet cooking recipes so I can learn how to use herbs more !! ~ We are so much more than the sum of our consumption and production.... now being older (post-grad) in years of working and understanding how we perceive ourselves and others through our *output*, it's tough but remind ourselves of our humanness. Keep creating, doing, what means more to you, whether it be art, the written word, explorations that don't go anywhere. Laughter and joy and strength we get from these small (useless by the system) activities (read up on Ikigai) are what keeps us happy, alive, and well ~

your discussion of your career and life made me so fricking happy. we’re both social justice inclined sociology majors and i find myself enjoying your thoughts on your studies and life in general. maybe he parasocial is parasocializing but heres to let you know that i adore hearing your sociological spiels

Man, I don't know if this would happen but I would LOVE to see you do an actual TED talk! I love listening to you talk about things you're passionate about, and I am grateful for people like you on social media and online spaces who ground me and make me think about the world. Lol maybe that's deep, but if you have the opportunity for a TED talk PLEASE take it!!!

Nothing hits like an aesthetic content creator not being quiet as hell about social issues. I have it on my plan to read Marx for several reasons and as someone that is still in the process of trying to set up a nonprofit with an American friend I can definitely feel the Nonprofit Industrial Complex being a struggle from the inside too for people that truly just wanna help but are trapped in a system made for rich people (like...come on, solicitation licensing shouldn't be costing thousands per year for a nonprofit raising money online). I occasionally come back to your channel and every time I'm reminded of how much you truly care for the world around you and I relate a lot.

Content creation and social advocacy don't have to be mutually exclusive. You have skills you can use in your career because of KZbin, and you can use that platform to talk about the issues that matter to you. I've been watching you since I was an undergrad in DC, and to see you blossom has been amazing. You're gonna do great, Linh!

Our mothers have the same view! My mom is also very supportive of my art but she did say to me “I would have loved to be rich and give you your own studio to just do art all day, but you must understand our situation and the opportunities this country gives you.” I live in Turkey, and being an art graduate would mean practically no job for me. So, since knowing English is extremely valuable here, I’m studying a major where it’s diploma would basically be physical evidence that my English is good. And with good English, you can get a wide variety of jobs :) I just hope I can still continue making art 🥲💕

Someone recently told me "Do you really want to follow the path that you were told to follow when you were young, even though you have the exposure?" and I apparently shocked them by saying "Yeah, as much as it is time consuming and almost killing me now (I live in India) I really like my subjects and I DO want to do this" so you saying you want to work a 9-5 really resonated with me

When you said "Nihilism and pessimism is the language of the oppressor" it actually made me tear up (not really sure why). I'm going into environmental science (wildlife biology) and its a career that doesn't pay much a lot of the time and can be brutal on your body and well-being, but someone has to care about the creatures on this planet especially during climate change, and I could be pessimistic about it all but instead I'm so excited to start my career and try to make a difference. Your videos mean the world to me I'm so glad I found you a few years back and that I've gotten to go to college along side you/your videos.

Welcome back! We've missed you! I can totally relate to your social justice career confusion. I'll be graduating with my master's in social work in May, and I have no idea where I want to go/what I want to do. I want to help underserved communities, but everything seems bleak or nuanced recently, and my thoughts change to, "how can I do the least amount of harm?" It's a tough field, and it can be tricky to know which organizations are actually helping those they intend to serve.

Although it isn't just about art, and more about education, I would recommend people who enjoyed that quick part to read "Why socialism" by Albert Einstein! It's a really small essay! Also, LOVE the Palestine support! It makes me so happy to know that my fave youtuber to watch is on the right side of history!

Actually and to be honest we should have more like you in this world especially sociology students in the orient because we don't have justice at all and families are struggling a lot from many subjects especially women. Oh my God I can't wait to see you graduated and see you at social works and make justice. Actually my teen-age daughter she's thinking to study Sociology like you and I am encouraging her but until now she didn't decide between Criminology or sociology, hope she could find her way. MIGHT BE USEFUL: you said about managing kind of creative sections, soemthing to look into would be agencys. im in art school (also sesior year woop woop lol) and so ive been going to different animation studios and theyve told us how they get work, which would be the same for political animations (example: that one adverts from a few years ago about deforestation and the monkey in the girls bedroom). so, companies go to agencys with what they want, and the agency coems up with the bare bones concept that fits the clients requests, and then looks for reps in animation or illustration (whatevers needed) studios. the studios then pitch the project, and whilst theres someone in charge at the studio at pre/post/production, agencys also manage them to keep them on task and communicate the changes in the clients wishes. im sure theres a non profit agency that focuses on political works for charities. might take some googling tho
