At 7:04, when you pull out the clutch pack, there's a steel immediately mated against the pressure plate, without a clutch. A few seconds later, when you inspect the clutch pack, there are two clutches mated together at the end. It would appear to me that someone incorrectly stacked the steels and clutches in that forward drum.

You'll move before the 20 years are up... Plus the boy is bound to toast another transmission soon, I would imagine.

Certainly worth a try. What does the fluid look and smell like?
@travismatheney40802 жыл бұрын
@@YoshimoshiGarage the fluid from the dipstick is still a pinkish red and to the hot full line
@YoshimoshiGarage2 жыл бұрын
@@travismatheney4080 So the clutches are probably fine. If they go, it will usually be brownish and smell distinctly burnt.

Did you ever figure out what caused it to have no forward gears?
@YoshimoshiGarage Жыл бұрын
Almost certain it was an improperly adjusted kick down

@@YoshimoshiGarage so I have a 91 d250 with a 727. Should I drop my pan before ordering a rebuild kit
@YoshimoshiGarage Жыл бұрын
I'd drop the pan and check the valve body.

I suspect the incorrectly stacked clutches and steels are somehow to blame.
