Great upload - I loved Cox insights and introductions. Along with Alexander Walker my first introduction cinema critique and that there was more than meets the eye in so much of 70s cinema. A standout memory was the remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers pointing out that the omnipresent Transamerica building.

Geek nostalgia overload, thanks pal. Edit, This is spectacular, I remember watching these live. There is a lot to be said for the value of scheduled TV.

@@VideoTasties thanks very much I used to love Dr Terror too. Friday nights. I wish they would bring back curation again. Just looking at your channel, we'd be on the same frequency for films etc. I used to love the cannon stuff too, well some ha. I loved Orion pictures, talk about quality stuff. Robocop, the Terminator, some of Johnathan Demmes movies.

Cox was a big proponent of Goddard. I probably view Cox as a quintessential auteur filmmaker. I was never a fan of Repo Man or Straight to Hell. Probably Cox's best attempts were Sid & Nancy and the greatly undervalued The Highway Patrolman, which deserves a solid 4K transfer for the UK market, even though Kino in the states released the film on Blu. Maybe Indicator could get The Highway Patrolman released.

That's why I couldn't find a copy of highway patrolman before the interview

@@VideoTasties ILC video released Highway Patrolman on DVD in the UK. But it does go for slightly more money now. I bought a copy when it came out on DVD in the early 00s.

Love the upload, but watching them back but Cox does come across as a pompous a-hole sometimes.

Opinionated maybe, but that was what made Moviedrome so great for me. You just can't be that honest on TV anymore.
