The grappling looks so natural and quick, even times where you are fighting for position for 10-15 seconds in a row which almost never happens in UFC 3. And the ref pushing them off to stop the fight is fantastic!

Doug Joestar I think they need to rework a lot of animations, because now for example, lead leg low kick looks so bad, that you almost don’t want to use it. Even the fastest kickers like Aldo doing low kicks so bad. It’s also relevant for a lot of others animations.

Still the best UFC/MMA ever made. Character Models Top Notch, Presentation Amazing, Roster Full. Then each fighter fought differently and moves had impact. This isn’t relative to the video at all but one thing i would really love in the next MMA is the ability to choose what style shorts that your fighter wears. For example Jon Jones has worn the Vale tudo tights for his last 3 fights. Unfortunately in UFC 3 we don’t have the ability to switch his shorts to the correct pair.

Hugh Morris they also have little to no competition which is the main reason they can put out half assed trash. With UFC there are no other options, there are no other up to date MMA games. Same with FIFA, yes there is pes but pes mechanics aren’t great and the game has a very arcade like feel because of it. PES also have to use alternative names for clubs because they own very little rights which also puts people off. Until there’s someone that rivals them we’re stuck

I gotta disagree with the striking part. I think the striking in UD 3 is way more fluid and better than in EA UFC. Some animations may not look as good and there is less variety in strikes, but it just work better in UD 3 IMO. The striking in EA UFC, especially 3, feels very clunky to me. Its sluggish and slow. Not to mention the fact that the massive amount of hit stuns and the combo based striking make it almost feel turn based. It's just annoying.

Ground sways, wall walk position, the ability to pull guard, use butterfly guard, more transition animations, takedown animations, post-fight interviews with different choices, press conference interactions, moving up or down divisions any time you want, knees to the body from the turtle position, a better career mode, and doctor stoppages need to be in UFC 4.

Martial, you're 100% correct on how the grappling should work. If you want to counter a technique, then yeah, you have to read what your opponent is doing. But to stop a transition, sweep, or sub, you dont have to know the ins and out of the technique, you just hold them! (Or more accurately do the opposite of what they're doing i.e. if they are pushing you to make an open, you dont need to know that they're going for a triangle choke or sweep, you just push back into them) source: martial artist of 7 years

I only have played some UFC Undisputed game on the PS3, which one of my friends back in the days gave it to me, but i cannot remember which one. I guess Forrest Griffin was on the cover? But man... the grappling and ground game (especially the latter!!) looks soooo fun. More fun than on UFC 3. It looks more fluid, fleshed out and overall just good by looking at it. This is the ground game I want for UFC 4. Just take this one, polish it up, add a few nice details more and we are almost good to go. I loved how they put the sequences in where Mike is talking about the fighters in a quick somewhat highlight reel, just a quick intro about them, holy smokes. Some people just wanna fight and skip, but I LOVE SUCH DETAILS. It makes the game feel more alive, man. Not hollow, boring and copy-pasted. You can clearly tell who had more passion and knowledge (also ideas) when they made this game and the other newer UFC games. Again.. not saying thath UFC 3 is bad, it could have been just better because it had the potential to be the best MMA game to this date...
