it is a bullshit argument when you are comparing a forward and a midfielder regarding impact in games. Obviously forwards will score more goals hence have more impact. Nobody will remember if a midfielder broke up the play which lead to the goal. that is just nonsense.

Proof Stuff That's because Kante was consistent throughout both seasons although Mahrez got the PFA award when Leicester won it. Also, by impact what they mean here is probably a game changing moment. A striker, winger or attacking midfielder is more likely to be a source of the game changing moment rather than a tackle or an interception or marking an important player throughout the game like a defensive midfielder would. Another thing is how do you quantify "impact". Here I am probably guessing they are talking about goals and assists as impact. If you go by that criteria then obviously you'll remember the goals and assists more than tackles and interceptions.

Why do we have to play out of the back every time so every opponent knows we’re going to do that. Mix it up a bit. Comparing xhaka to Welbeck makes sense because of how little of a impact they both make. Comparing Kante, one of the best mids in the league, to Morata who was the reason why Giroud was sold doesnt make much sense.
