@plmokm33 no they haven't.. this is the first time in CIG history that they are offering Hull limited ships at the end of IAE. It's either do it on manufacture's day or try in ILW... Never had they reintroduce hull limited ships at the end. Desperation to get those warbond. Whats the bet that store credit hull limited ships are limited to like 5 or 10 globally lol.

00 somebody did not meet their funding needs to keep enough staff employed to finish the game. My prediction is at best. They get the staff to release squadron and 42 that is if we do not see another investor come in and he has to actually sell equity companies do. Then tries to get the PU to look semi-stable and move to sell the company and retire where he will have shown he shipped a game and it was not a scam so he cannot be sued and say Microsoft comes in and redo everything which of course will negate all pledged ships because new ownership and they have the right to do whatever they want .

No all hull limited ships are buy in full only store credit goes pretty quickly

They laid off some employees immediately after IAE, and now they're reoffering limited ships.... maybe they'd do better financially if they didn't lie and had a viable flight model. Maybe if they continued making a space sim instead of a space game... maybe if they didn't try to appeal to mass audiences of every genre type...

There is really no reason for them to be limited at this point. Only to force people into FOMO. I thought it was a bit much selling them during Fleet Week, that already increased the amount sold. Now when they are just a bit behind on funding, because let's be clear, CIG is behind because after a good Citizen Con, they dropped the fact SQ42 is another 2 years away, and the lack of 4.0 being out, and 50% of the patch completely gutted. Yea what did they think would happen at the big sale? So, their only hope is to push out more wave limited ships.

If it is true they have 1100 employees I also look for layoffs. I mean even with UK subsidies basically paying CIG to move offices there…that’s north of 100,000,000 and without benefits and not very high pay. Honestly I think they are down to the wire. S42 MUST SHIP. After this then look for CIG to sell equity as CR still owns 80% and will need to give up BoD seats maybe which could cause him to lose control or have things veto’d. The fact they are looking to whales to save them again… We kept saying by going to hardcore with extreme time sinks and details that do nothing, keeps the game a small niche within a niche…a large AAA game(s) and engine requires a massive active player base. Hell old school 20 year old WoW offers way more content and while a time sinks, no full loot PvP offsets that. They need to capture mass appeal and that time is IMO gone.

@melvin As a former 890 holder I would say hold off. 890 suffers from old design and wasted space. There will be newer better ships of equivalent size and class. Or there will be a rework. Unless you don’t want to wait but honestly 890 is wasted space inside the way it’s designed imo.

No content, PvP griefing, any new features added are more time sinks, full loot PvP, lose items when you die, more time sinks, super easy to die, more time sinks… People maybe check it out then leave in an hour saying “hell no” When you are trying to be a niche game, then you cannot be surprised when you have the niche game player count .

Finished up every CCU chain I had (Endeavor, Polaris, Nautilus, Carrack) this year for a whopping $30 new money, the rest was store credit. More than I spend in every other game? Probably. Enough to save their quarterly report? Let's hope not, they need to learn their lesson about predatory marketing and the only language they speak is the almighty dollar.

Instead of announcing this early, you do it when everyone had already used their store credit for other stuff leading up to the end of IAE... you enforce a 24 hour melt restriction so those who want to participate can't... Forcing fomo tactics and hoping that people pay warbond? This won't change a thing with your funding... Most people are after these ships using store credits. There's a reason why every single hull limited ship remained available on warbond for the entire manufactures day this year. People are tired of your BS CIG. What you did with Redeemer and Corsair is now truely giving you the real payback for your scummy and scammy tactics. Undo these changes, give those owners back what you originally promised, rebuild trust within your player base by delivering what we really want... Do the exact opposite of what you're currently doing and you'll see improvements. CIG... You're on your last life... No more 1Ups guys, let's not eff up the dream and turn it into a full nightmare for everyone.

Pass. Sold my 15k account and downgraded. I lost faith in CIg ability to develop the game ina. Timely manner and they are adding crafting. So I’m going to have to wait and see because I really cannot stand crafting at all.
