My pajama drawer is always full of demoted tshirts that i cant get rid of! 😂 To be fair, they are SO soft from being washed a zillion times (but...they get pretty thin... thats when they become exclusively summer pjs!)

So real because I have band shirts that I don’t wear out anymore or have stains/ other reason, so I wear them as pj’s or lounge shirts.

So many turn into pajama shirts or if they are stained/damaged they often turn into shirts I wear when dying my hair. Or doing other things that I don't have to worry if they get bleached/stained lol

I feel this. I live this. I can go almost 2 months without repeating items, I have that many clothes. I love clothes and I have cut down substantially on my shopping. I have done a purge ( the second this year) of Summer into Fall in September. I have done the Marie Kondo purge, the "I'm an influencer" purge, the timed purge (if not worn in 6 months-1 year, get rid of). I have a lot. Also! I knit and just made a sweater and have two more on my needles and my crochet hook has a top in the works for Spring....

Scotty, the internet needs your help! I can't find anyone talking about travel wardrobe/capsule ideas within a fantasy aesthetic, and I would love to hear your thoughts and ideas on the topic! I feel like every travel capsule/what to pack video is either super minimalist or like mom-blog vibes, and that just won't do. I want to keep my dark cottagecore/whimsigoth/celestial girly aesthetic while I travel, while being mix-and-match enough that I don't overpack. Love all your style and videos!!

Ugh, we just moved from Northern Calif to Idaho & had to pack up a 2200 sq ft house with a 2.5 car garage that we'd been in 17 yrs. We purged everything we ccould. Donated, sold, gave away & it still took 3 separate trips in the largest moving van. It's really not the furniture that is a pain, it's all the collectibles & books/cds/dvds/games & holiday decor that once packed up takes up a lot of room. It's also very tedious to pack. Clothes can take up a lot of wardrobes & plastic bins. So yes, if you have a lot of time to prepare for a move (we didn't, had to be out in 2 weeks) definitelt declutter & purge everything you don't want taking up space in the moving van. I am happy to be able to finally wear more of my clothes since it's considerably cooler here in Idaho vs Sacramento. dressing in layers is very comfortable :) Now, we just need to find a perm home. (All our stuff is in storage atm) But it's really nice to be close to family during the holidays.

You can splice those skirts. The orange, Rock Steady skirt & the green version of it. Remove the side seams, & cut off the amount of orange skirt needed to fill in the gap, in the removed side seams of the green skirt. This makes it color blocked, so you don't have to give up the skirt. Just make sure you add 5/8" seam allowance, vertically, on the orange pieces, for your seam margin. (I'm a fashion designer.)

Hi Scotty! I’m working on a very nature-heavy closet so life is a 24/7 Ren Faire. What do you suggest to really naturalize white button-ups besides dye and embroidery??

If you don’t want to use dye or embroider it but you are still able to alter it, I’d say getting some natural looking cream lace or crochet trims and adding to the collar and/or cuffs could be cool. I also think changing out the buttons with similar/same size wood buttons would be cool and would add contrast. If you’re not able to alter the button downs (say if it’s a uniform - not sure your circumstances) to keep it looking natural, maybe don’t button it up all the way and if the sleeves are long, roll them up (if it’s dress code) and you can drape a cool nature inspired looking thin fabric scarf (or tie it loosely with the neckline) - a cool vest (as look as it’s more natural less “bar waiter”) could also bring that hobbity/fantasy vibe to a button down.

That whimsy skirt you love could be altered. You can make it a little bit shorter and cut the waist off to a place where it fits and put on a new waist band

Well, this IS a closet clean out video, where the fit of clothes is scrutinized, so it isn’t out of the ordinary for weight/body changes to come up as a factor. I think I only mentioned it twice and not even in that negative of a way, not throughout whole video as you said. If the couple mentions were too much I’d HIGHLY recommend avoiding closet clean out videos, because the topic of weight/body change can easily come up. Especially those of us in our 30’s who see the drastic difference between our 20’s and now. TBH it doesn’t come up in my other videos, so if you like the vibe, maybe check those out instead of closet clean outs 🫶
