something that's really helped me with self esteem and letting go of really cute clothes is remembering that clothes are supposed to fit my body, I'm not supposed to fit clothes. If something doesn't fit, that's not a reflection on my worth. It just means what size is healthy for me causes some clothes to no longer be an option

Can a kid/minor go to a Ren Faire?
@DressMeUpScotty
@DressMeUpScotty 4 күн бұрын
Faires are public ticketed events, so yes, as long as the kids or minors are accompanied by their parents or trusted adults. You’ll see people of all ages attending and often times whole families. There may be some exceptions where there are adult only events, but usually that is specified in the advertising.

They turned ouy so pretty! Also what kind of fabric did you use for the straps? 🤔 Planning to do a pair and because the top is rather short straps are probably the savest option 🙈🤣

I was curious if you had a PO box to send something to? I looked in your description and didn't see one listed, so im guessing you dont have one. Would you ever consider getting getting a PO box? ✌🏼✨🤗🤔

Hello!! I loved the video! I live in South America so it is difficult for me to adapt this style to the high temperatures. The fabrics tend to be warm and the layers of clothing that make the style do not work. I would like you to make a video guide for that, since what I have found in other spaces are only light skirts and that is all. I would like something more masculine. I hope you understood me, I don't speak English, only Spanish. Thanks! And if anyone has people to follow who can help me with my search I would appreciate it. ✨💜

Help!! What state are you in that you can thrift so affordably?? I am in the LA crowd and I am not kidding when I say I will take a trip to wherever you are to do some actual thrifting
@DressMeUpScotty
@DressMeUpScotty 9 күн бұрын
Northern CA (Sacramento) - Usually smaller towns/cities have better thrifting because it’s less picked over and not marked up to ridiculous prices. I’d suggest try thrifting away from LA or OC and try the smaller towns. You don’t even need to drive all the way up to where I am (I’ve done that drive it’s a long one) but if you just venture out away from the “hip” areas you’ll find better thrifting. Definitely try the local charity shops too over the thrift store chains.

Something I like to do as a man is take a cool scarf and tie it around my waist to make a sash. Add a belt or two and it gives it a fantasy vibe

What if they're wings at rest instead of standing up and flared? Still wings, easy out sure, but not all wings need to be open😅. They could be attached to a capelet too for a subtle touch of whimsy and then you have a wearable piece outside of cosplay.

It’s the stupid new AI audio translation - I did not green light that I assure you. KZbin did this to all of us 😭 feel free to set it back to the original audio because if you have your app set to any language but English it adds a terrible ai generated auto translation 😭 I tried to turn it off but it won’t let me.

I love this video! The mens/masculine ren faire fashion is lacking videos severely. My problem currently is finding plus size mens stuff. I ordered literally ever ren faire style shirt on Amazon that matched my measurements and none of them fit.
@DressMeUpScotty
@DressMeUpScotty 14 күн бұрын
Yeah the Amazon shirts run so small. My husband has to size up with them sometimes 2 sizes. Zootzu might be your best place to find shirts with more sizing options. I’ve heard good things. Medieval collectibles is good too but I think Zootzu is more size inclusive.

@@DressMeUpScotty thank you! I've never heard of Zootzu before I'll check it out! I've got to KingSize to get some shirts and JC Penny for pants, and Holy Clothing's new masculine line is great! I really needed some nice pieces for my fantasycore wedding coming up in January

ThredUp's new image search feature is great fun to play with! On the downside, it doesn't always being up stellar results for things like cloaks, fancy princess gowns, or corsets (no, I did not mean swim tops, Mr. Image Search...), but overall, it's pretty accurate. I've found so many cute, Hobbity, Cottagecore frocks with that feature--whereas before, I hardly found anything. Highly recommend! 😁💜

Whimsygothic was actually coined in the 80s I believe to describe more of a decorating style rather than clothing but more recently it has been used for fashion and such.
