Sergiy, I want you to know that your ideas were very inspiring to me. I am ultimately only going for a smaller solar CPC system, but thanks for your work.

Sergiy, This video explains this process well (better than prior videos because in this video you show the reflection over time, address the winter solstice, tell us you have to change the angle only 10 times per year (which I had been wondering about), and that the # of changes could be reduced with a taller receiving screen or closer positioning of the receiving screen). Great job! Your latitude in Myrhorod, Ukraine is 49.96° N, so the angles will of course change for all other latitudes. (For Americans, and others who might be subjected to stupid imperial measurements: -10°C = 14°F at 8:10; and 198cm = 6.5' and 107cm = 3.5' at 9:35.)

Your videos are very much appreciated! You might also want to look into using mobile chained trombe walls, which cam be moved around in the garden and attached or detached depending on how much heat you need in that part of the year. Useful mainly for air heating if you don't build scaled up solar collectors to help with the sunlight concentration, but even without a concentrator you can heat up a house with the mobile trombe walls.

I appreciate you narration in english which is good. Your graphics are getting better too, which are very helpful. I have an idea to build like the one in the video which I will share when done. I think you will like it.

Fantastic video and very well narrated. Inexpensive design and it appears pretty effective. I have a lot of applications for something like this so I will definitely be trying this out!

Sergiy, thanks for the video. I have been doing related work here in Costa Rica. No snow problems here! I share your desire to make designs that can be made from local materials. I am working on a design with 8m^2 parabola with heat storage for up to 28 hours at baking temperatures for a solar bakery to use heat from the previous day starting at 3am... your work is appreciated. Well explained.

Seems like if such a system were constructed down here, at 30 degrees latitude, the receiver would just need to be curved. For good or ill, we have little need of either heat or distillation, though perhaps pyrolysis of waste could be achievable.

'..the receiver just need to be curved'. As the tilt of earth to sun is 23.5 deg, would be grateful if an explanation of why at 30 degrees latitude this happens, and how much this affects the performance of Sergiy's method. Many thanks in advance

It seems to me that the changing focal length would be reduced if you have your mirrors pivot in the middle rather than at the bottom.

Hi Sergio! Thank you for your inspiring videos. I looked at your mirrors hinged at ground level. Would you get the same problem if they where hinged somwhere closer to the middle? Im building a greenhouse which I intend to heat in the winter with a heat storage of 100 cubic meters insulated with styrofoam. I have chosen air as my heat carrier , less effective but cheaper. Im gathering mirrors second hand to make a solar trough concentrator. I have decided to put the collector stationery 2 m up and have the through on the ground so the mirrors dont block the winter sun into the green house. High collector is for safety reasons. I live in southern Sweden at 57,5 degrees north. If I would put the collector on the ground I would have to move the system away from the green house to avoid shading and get longer ducting with more heat loss as a result. Would be greatful for any input.

the missing component, to make electricity from the plentiful hot water created by solar collectors, is a stirling engine. commercial availability is very limited. Steam really needs to be superheated to be effective, and thats why the commercial plants use more expensive designs, to get the extra heat.

You have some great ideas Sergiy. Thanks for putting them out for others to see and think about. I was surprised to see your collector colored white? I was thinking black would be a better color to absorb heat? If you are in Ukraine, I hope you are OK and still able to work your inventions!

Yes, steam is hot then relatively "cold" in turn. It's crossed my mind but kinda liked a freight train passing at 80 mph. Thank you. Of course stirling is air or gas. A reciever packed with sand captures heat and on and on it goes. Let's keep at it!

why can't the collector little target b just glass over water box so as much as poss, the air & the water is heated. It doesn't need to boil or get to steam, u can do that prt as needed in 2nd collector or diff 2nd heating way. Just heating the water long & hot will purify it w/the ultraviolet prt. If not about steaming water but just treating water yr round this seems clear way to do it. How hot how long & how much ultra violet u can dial in so again treating not powering boiling & steaming. There is plenty of water to treat, r u just dumping it or treating for cooking potable water??

Interesting experiment Have you thought connect both the mirror reflective film and the receiver together if you have gotten fixed angle with respect the sun season angle of winter or summer "Sun path" that makes you move the whole solar system just 3 time a year. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_path

To make videos easier to view, you need to do a few things: make subtitles optional. A lot of the time they obstruct view of your creations. 2. Please slow down when you talk, your accent if obviously common where you are, but in some places it takes us a little longer to understand, but your English is good, just different a accent from many people, & speaking a little slower always helps others understand better. 3. Sometimes placement of ads ON TOP of your video will cause your subtitles to move to the very center of the screen, this makes viewing difficult, because we just CAN’T SEE your reflectors. I really hope you will make another version of this video with these suggestions in mind, I think you will have many more viewers. The fact you are placing ads shows you are trying to profit from sharing your ideas, NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT, just please make them easier to see & hear. Thank you, I haven’t seen anything quite like this before, you seem to have some very original ideas: these deserve MORE VIDEOS! Just please slow down when talking & don’t put ads or subtitles on the screen, make subtitles OPTIONAL! Thank you!

the collector needs to b trove of water covered by glass that ultra light can bleach in as well. Filtering is diff system but treating water on cheap any where in world is where this shines. Ppl r washing * & drinking out of rivers animals & farming wash into. Making power is other solar cells on top of non useful surface like roofs. Or free magnetic power. There is a way to use magnetic copper pipe & field to get near boiling water on the near free cheap, but sun is shinning why not use it in mass volume quick way to treat water. Making power from steam is 2nd stage & needs to happen rain or darkness or shine 2nd stage. Burning hydrogen or free magnetic power electrons is the power way other than solar cells.
