Interesting, it’s almost exactly what I need. I am powering some Infinity Reference 6x9 components in the front door and soon to be 6.5 coax in the rear 1/2 doors of my Tacoma Access cab with the Kenwood deck. Although the deck plays louder than I need I still would like to move the power to a separate amp. BTW, I have a Kicker powered sub under the seat and I am quite impressed. It actually thumps the seat. It has little output at 25 and nothing at 20 but over that it’s quite amazing for the money and space challenged! Love the channel, keep up the reviews!

So I received two from Amazon today. I glanced in again to see if the price dropped earlier this week. Price was 165 lowered to 139.99 with a 5% off coupon you click. Then, once added to cart it brings up a code from the manufacturer to apply in cart for another 10% off. But you can only do this once. So I ordered one on my account, and my girl order one her account. Final price for both of them was 237.98 lol. The Topstrong Gear emblem is held on by very weak two sided tape. Of course I pulled them off. Cleaned the glue residue. And they look great. Almost like a brushed black aluminum or fine black wood grain.

I bought the mono block after seeing your dyno. Soon after I rewired my kicker factory box to .5 ohm and the TSG sent 1 to sub heaven. I accidentally backfed it and burned it up as well but I bought another one cause it was so cheap. Seriously thinking about getting one of these

Id guess the rising efficiency is from how they set the output filter networks up. Kind of makes sense to have a better impedance match at the lower 1 and 2 ohm ratings so it doesn't get too hot.

Thanks for the awesome video! How long before sundown cries about the "clone" thing? Why does every product market have an elite brand that bangs you so hard on the bargain aspect of things, and make you feel like an idiot for using the inexpensive alternative? In this case the topstrong was just as powerful and possibly even uses the exact same components! So move over sundown bring on the new boss, TopStrong!

Since there's very few loud speakers that are 2ohm let alone 1..to be able to parallel down to get ur 250 by 4 ur still gonna wind up with each speaker only seeing 75 give or take

@@thebotlobbydaily Sure, and for them there is series/parralel wiring. In the meantime, the same amp but with the voltage rails altered to allow this amount of power at 2ohms is what 99.999% of people will actually need. The kids with thewir quad front stage array can still use it.

@@DamonDupriez I wouldn’t say it’s useless, if you have four -four ohm mid range speakers and four -four ohm tweeters on each side and need to get lots of power to them like most of these are asking for these days then there is a use for this specific amp. Lots of the younger people are and have been doing that for a while now. Not sure why you are dead set on this being untrue , take a look around lol. Would I do this? No, I’m an sq guy and a brand snob, but I get around enough to know that this has a use, maybe I should write articles about it too I guess I dunno. I mean if this has no use one could argue that car audio in general has no use because honestly a car is a horrible environment for true audio listening. You can argue the point all day long but it won’t matter and I see no reason to care. It is what it is, I’ve been around since the box that rocks by fosgate was the hot ticket you ain’t got to explain how you wrote articles and all this and that it’s really not impressive to me. It would be like me telling you I’m an mecp certified technician (which I am) and a certified low voltage technician (which I am) , and a residential electrician (which I am) It’s all for nothing lol we understand car audio is a joke and way behind in technology relatively speaking to home audio or pretty much anything else-however it’s still interesting when a cheaper product comes out that does the same ratings and looks the same as a higher dollar brand. It is what it is my friend. Sometimes it’s best to just let the China amp company run through its stock of cheap boards/cases cause those kids were not gonna pay for a sundown amp anyway! Can’t afford to!

Not sure why anyone would think its a copy of a sundown amp.. Sundown has never built or even designed a circuit for an amp.. they contacted a place that makes stuff over in china, had some samples sent over, and said "could you make us a bunch with tiffany style rcas and this profile on the heatsink" if they liked the cost/performance of the product. Topstronggear did the same thing and is sellin it closer to actual cost than sundown is..

i here u talk about the bass knob alot. i always found whenever i use them the amp play lower with the bass knob. even turned all the way up. unplug it and it gets louder

Ya that mono block must of flew off shelf out of stock in min. There is quite a bit of the no name brands with the same look but the fuse rating is way lower than It should be so I don't think they will all do close to the rating. The toro brand is on sale at there web site can't tell in till you click on items for sale price ✌️👌👍💯
