People really do not appreciate what you guys go through to keep these old units going. Great job man.

I just cant believe the out of production with no cross available deal that the manufacturer told me. Honestly I doubt blowers were changed on newer units. I'll give them the supply issue with not having the parts, but just not producing them,?

Creative method to locate the second hole for the bearing mount. That's one I'll keep in my back pocket.

Great video Greg... The "BFH" always works "F'n A" lol! I have a smaller blower like that I've used year round circulating air in my shop for 40 years.

"Normal" people wouldn't go to these lengths to save something, just have to buy a new one. Very nice.

Where can we locate the bearing bracket You installed in the video?

I'll have to check the invoice for part numbers.
@Halligan1423 жыл бұрын
The invoice just says 17" twist bracket. No part numbers are given and for the life of me I cannot find anything similar through quick Google image searches. They were bought from Central Fan in Medford, MA

That looks like a first class repair. That is likely to give years of satisfactory service.

Better than OEM! Are those sealed bearings or do they use grease zerks?
@Halligan1423 жыл бұрын

Great video! This makes me want to leave the restaurant business and learn HVAC. Is 30 years old too late to learn?

Not really. We've hired people older that were right out of a trade school. Best bet is to look locally around you and see if any companies offer an apprenticeship program. You will need at least some classes to qualify for your state license. Each state is different so check local requirements. EPA certificate is federal so that is a standard across the board.
