Just had the same issue on a new one. The fix is to actually not overtighten those two Allen key bolts that clamp on and also push it back but not all the way as per stated on the manual. After adjusting those mine was good to go. I also tightened the bolts on my wheel that hold on the quick release as I noticed they got a bit loose.

@Tronfon1999 thank the bolts on the back of the wheel kept backing off. I got into contact with Fanatec, they told me to find the service order ticket and contact them. My brother is searching for the information now.

Thank you for the input, that really helps the cause. I'll try to find a wheel local or order the hub and tiny module fron Sim Racing Machines. You maybe a actual answer for repair and DIY for some wheel for people who can't or don't want to spend on a well know issue that is not common for individuals fresh coming in.

@storypunman My older brother loves his, and I got the chance to run it. It was the first DD that I actually had the chance to drive. I got his drift trophy on GT7 for him. He's the online racer, and I'm a IRL ex-canyon runner.

You may hate to hear this. But those pS WHEELS from fanatec have issues like this more them others. Most of the time people go buy a different wheeel geta there and guess what torque issues gone. Same for the dd+ the gt wheel is worse and has torque issues. Get mclaren and boom works perfectly. No joke

@DeMoeAurelius yeah man and its sad because fanatecs own tester won't admit it but its a fact. Ive met and see all to many people who use the mclaren wheel or other wheels on the same wheelbase without a single issue they put the ps wheel on and boom connection issues torque issues etc. Its because the wheels are a bit different internally with the signal. The mclaren gt3 wheel will work on ps practically any wheel will since the chip for the PS is inside of the wheelbase itself. The Xbox version is actually jusy the wheel. Any Xbox wheel will work on Xbox even with the PS wheelbase. So yeah you can practically buy any wheel from fanatec and it will work on the PS as long as you have the PS wheelbase which I believe you do.
