I think my first memorable moment that got me hype was seeing Lucca (Ashtear). Chrono Trigger might be my all-time favorite game, so the nostalgia was real in that moment. 😌 And honestly a lot of my favorite moments in game are ones that have music I really like... Like hitting the Ancient Battlefield, or visiting the beast island where the music is great and the sun is setting (meshing great music and beautiful visuals) in the Ogre Wars story. 🙂 I loved how big the world started getting around the time that the IDA school was introduced. I loved Tales from the East a lot (again great music). My favorite story used to be the Western Mythos. Great characters, new and old, from the mysterious Clarte and Mistrare to fleshing out characters like Melina and Thilly. But recently the Apocrypha quest line blew me away and has become my favorite. I literally loved everything about Apocrypha... Again great new characters like Nona, Alma, and especially Yakumo. But also really giving some lore on older characters like Claude and his home. And the music and animation for all that was 10/10 for me. So good. ✊

And my least favorite parts are hard to think of, but mostly they're where I stalled out in progression... That's not related to story, and no fault of the game. I was just busy IRL, so for months had no story progression and played inefficiently. Like when Tales from the East released I stalled out in Azami's dungeon running keys because running keys was all I had time for daily and did so until the end of part 3 of the main story so I wasn't collecting pain grasta or good ores from Underworld for over a year or more. 🙃 I did the same thing during the Ogre Wars story and missed lots of rewards, like stones and free 5* from those drop things they do occasionally. And then this last year while I was away from the game I missed most of those catch-up campaign rewards like free characters and exp boost dungeons. 😖 But pretty much all of my memories of the story are good ones. Looking forward to you continuing this series so maybe I can remember stuff I liked/didn't like as much.

@@sweebos Bro you've got me excited about returning to play Chrono Trigger again. I'm gonna aim to finish it over the next few weeks! I love the tales you mentioned. I especially love Future Mythos AAAAND as you said apocrypha. I loved how daring they were with Mariel ES's chapter as it was like a whole new game! And they def need to bring Nona back. She's perfect for Aldo

@@jrpgwow It's really fun as I can progress at my own pace and not thinking too much about playing "daily" compared to another free to play game. I almost finished all available main story, I just need to grind more because my giant robot is not powerful enough

part 1 of this game literally explains the title of the game and the entire freaking game as part 2 part 3 and all those side stories not only have monsters that look similar to part 1, all the stories after part 1 are just supporting it and look like, well, fillers

thank you for this. I remember downloading this years ago cuz someone brought it to my attention through a content creator I was watching, or one of those “X JRPG games” videos. I recall enjoying the actual story, characters and their designs, and especially the side quests and npcs. I think I’ll redownload it again. hopefully I can catch up.

25:56 Spoilers❗❗ The reason Riica didn't vanish was explained during the short time in the Chronos Empire. Ashtear explained that Riica is an android whose model is based on the Hollow Time Layer's Sebastia. Also, Riica apparently exists in every time layer imaginable. So, it doesn't matter if the Riica from Elzion disappears, and her existence persists.
