This is why I feel a national licensing board needs to be established for cops. That follows you anywhere you go. So you can’t department hop when the heat gets too hot. Add to that require officers to hold insurance like doctors do. So that tax payers don’t have to foot the bill. Do anything to major to to many minor issues you loses your licenses or your insurance becomes cost prohibitive to be a cop. It would quickly weed out the bad ones.
@deanwiley67462 ай бұрын
@SRH and @dave: The fired ones usually don't get hired someone else. Fired (for cause) police have to redo all of their training/certifications. Which leads to... all three (at the time of this 'episode' ;) comment @dave @SRH and @zazuch: They end up - usually *high* up and butt-kissed - in Private Security. @z: your idea of Federal/National "Licensing" (even if only a PUBLIC database) is awesome. The ones that are "allowed to resign" and move to other departments often go without the *new* department knowing they should not hire them. As far as cops paying 'their own' insurance: They would just demand 10x the cost of it in tax payer salaries. Good thread!

Ain’t it crazy that minimum wage jobs hold workers more liable for their actions than the government does for a judge, ironically, whose entire job description is holding people liable. 1 disrespectful customer interaction gets you fired at many retail stores, but apparently you can steal, abuse power, and threaten others as a judge with only a small fine while keeping your job. Having an employee an employee yelling at customers is not a good look for a store. Whether you think the customer deserves it or not. There are better, more professional ways of dealing with situation then getting mad back at the customer and escalating things, and even turning away other customers. I wouldn't want my employees yelling at my customers either. It's not about just the one customer but the others as well, and in the end it is a business and the employer needs to be able to pay his employees and having employees and no customers does not really work very well. Your content, research, and video production rivals that of Dateline, MSNBC segments, and others. This is an outstanding channel.

Thank you for the updates. This format is fantastic! I would love to see an update on the two Miami cops who prevented a man and his pregnant wife from getting treatment at the hospital they were already at because the man honked at the police cars that were blocking the way to the emergency room.

These are a fantastic expansion on the ATA premise, I wholly applaud your diligence in true, unbiased reporting and look forward to further update episodes, as well as continued coverage of police tyranny and over-reach, as well as the (few and far between they may be) coverage of GOOD policing, and officers truly upholding their oaths. Keep up the good work!

We appreciate you doing these updates. We know how much time it takes out of your day. Thank you.
My wife was assistant to the chief of police for Orangeburg public safety when that incident happened. I will say they swiftly terminated that officer same day when they they found out he kicked the man in the head. Chief Adams stepped down soon after. He was a good man imo and tried his best to do the right thing. Besides this there were so many other incidents that happened while my wife worked under the chief you wouldnt believe out of such a small police department. I'm so glad my wife took another job. They still beg her to come back but ain't no way she would ever go back.

Buddy, you're wrong. The fact that they didn't immediately arrest everybody involved and charged them shoes that they did not do anything right
@colescrustycars2 ай бұрын
@@strawberrylotlizard I didnt say everyone did it right. I said the cheif did what he could and as fast as possible. Despite what the video says, the officer was terminated same day. There is a reason the cheif soon after stepped down. He also released the body cam right away despite the city attorney saying they were not legally required too. I feel like doing this brought accountability much faster releasing that to the public. One man doesnt run the show.
