She should have been charged with Reckless Driving (20 over the limit), Eluding, Obstruction of Justice, Intimidation, Violation of Oath of Office and counting. This Criminal should not only lose her Job, Bar License, Pension and Benefits, but also her freedom... for a couple of years. And actually there wer exigent circumstances, as in "destruction of evidence"... she should have been tested for alcohol. There is a case for DUI as well.

If the cop didn't know he'd receive retaliation for this if he tried to arrest her, i would be saying this is a bad cop but from this alone this is a cop trying to do his job while at the sane time trying to keep his job

He had every right to follow her into her garage..it would be an officer safety issue..she should have been handcuffed immediately and taken to jail..

Now that the person is deceased as a result of this altercation, then the charges should be upgraded to manslaughter too or even 2nd degree because you can clearly tell that this poor gentleman has passed away from his injuries. He was clearly doing well before this incident even happened, I mean I don't even want to think about how he clearly survived getting hit by a car unscathed only to be injured and apparently murdered by another human being who was supposed to be keeping him safe especially someone who is as old as this gentleman is and my condolences go out to his family! It especially pisses me off so much just watching how they let him suffer needlessly and we need to do better and stand up for those who cannot for themselves anymore and hold those guilty accountable for their crimes, even if sometimes some of those people are the ones who were supposed to be preventing it, absolute garbage these guys are, RIP Mr. Scurlock!...

Why must all of these cops scream like maniacs and scare the hell out of everyone in sight?? They don’t even know what’s going on and they expect innocent people to blindly obey them like dogs obeying their masters!

Instead of commending these girls for being mature enough to decide to sleep off their intoxication. This female cop becomes a biotch and tries to nail these girls.

Her behaviour puts every case she prosecuted in doubt. She clearly thinks she is above the law; calling the cops boss, stating she doesn't care about speeding 20mph, stating she'll handle the ticket herself as prosecutor.... This lady stinks and therefore all cases she ever handled.

Does the public get the Chiefs phone # to use if they are being stopped? Was she DWI/DUI ? Maybe a couple extra at lunch? What did the Chief tell the patrol officer on her phone? I guess it's all good by now, she paid the ticket for the only charge against her. After the "smoke clears", how long will this officer have a job? He had no supervisors backing him up, even his backup patrol officers acted like they didn't want to be there.

It’s easy to talk about the officer going light on the DA… but these officers are treated like pawns in cases like this and their livelihood is jeopardized for pissing off the wrong people. Yes there are measures in place to make this more difficult to retaliate on an officer, but as someone that manages a large organization, we all know there are ways for people in leadership to get the outcome they want as long as they’re careful. I actually wish he would have taken his claim on body cam a step further and claimed he would have arrested anyone else if it wasn’t the DA but he’s afraid for his job and wellbeing and does not feel safe to arrest her.

One of the best videos I've seen. Fat off a certain nose. He's just one of us, and then he let his partner Shantelle through the procedure of interacting with this auditor previously, so he would be informed also how cool man.

I strongly disagree he violated her rights. This IS one time I will go with 'officer safety' as she clearly showed she did not respect his right to pull her over. This is 'hot pursuit' for sure. Who knows she might have been hiding the baggie of coke she was sniffing on. Maybe she was going for the gun she forgot at home.

The continued failure of the perp. to follow the lawful orders of the officers would also be ground for the implementation of the continuum of force. She would likely clench her body when tased adding the resisting arrest charge.

This is simply a result of... not enough trainning (19 week police academy) thrown into PTO. These 10 month programs in a Community College setting of 10 ¹/² months provide better book and range time for those who are seeking the profession... not ONLY a better physiological evaluation that doesn't aim for the narcissistic.

If we could battle the cops in court with out it costing us a bunch of money, many more people would do it. The cops don’t pay nothing for going to court. Kind of uneven I would think.
