I could provide this but... then you'll all know how terrible I am. I just bought this tonight - haven't had much time to play with it as I've spent a lot of time trying to correct some issues with sound (ex. had a horrible 1/2 sec delay because I didn't have my sound set to ASIO). You may have to fiddle about with sampling rates if you start getting crackling sounds when using things like the voices -- my computer exceeds the tech requirements but I have had to do some tweaking to get everything sounding okay. As for the effects, you can make some really unique sounds just by playing around with the settings, but they do include plenty of presets so you can enjoy some wonderful sound profiles created by other artists (Henson has quite a few presets available too). Overall, it's not bad - even coming through my basic speaker (I use a cheap sound bar at the moment because my cat chewed through my original speaker cables, whoops), it sounds better to me than Guitar Rig, for example.

I bought a plug-in Tom demoed and of course his demo sounded amazing. However, I could not get any use out of it. Sounded too digital and unnatural and under my fingers it felt unplayable. I watch his demos to hear his noodling because he has amazing phrasing. But I don't rely on the demo for purchases. I will try the free trial and scour YT and listen to everyone for how they make it sound and their words describing it. As for Archetype, I like some of the effects, I also like the Tim Henson aesthetic but I am not into the tone Polyphia uses outside of their music. I would not strive for that myself but this plug-in has many things to offer that I would like to play around with using the trial to see whether I would like to own it.

Great! You earned a new subscriber... although I am not sure why I was not a subscriber prior to this video. I thought I was. But no matter... I am a vocalist first and foremost so the multivoicer would be used to find harmony lines that I would likely sing live depending upon how well it sounds using the voicer. Haven't found one yet that beats actual tracked parts from a real performance. Hey maybe a video idea from my end! Anyway... one of the best reviews on this Archetype yet.

This is awesome.. especially it contains Acoustic amp sim, which was never found through entire plugins among Neural DSP's. Also noticed is that CLEANs are remarkably distinguishable than other plugins available on the market in the planet. Lastly, I'm wonder when and how this Tim Henson might be work on my Quad Cortex modular engine?

Neural seem to have the best delay n reverb sounds to my ears, compared to otger amp sims, they have some of that 'Strymon' clarity where other amp sims sound a little dark.

I think he uses a UAD Apollo series as he's said in comments on other videos. It is definitely worth upgrading your interface if you are using a cheap one. I noticed an enormous difference when I got rid of my Focusrite Scarlett for an Antelope Zen Studio Plus

Sounds great. I get the feeling that Neural could roll all of these different plugins into one mega Archetype plugin as essentially its the same engine with sound tweaks and gui changes but it makes more business sense to release them individually as they can get more coin that way. I would buy this or any of the other plugins they do mind. Can't afford the QC just too many biscuits from my wallet.

What sounds better to your ears, this plugin or Fractal Axe-fx 3? I've tried this and other Neural DSP plugins and they sound fantastic....better than the other gear I've owned for years.

I would say overall none of the Neural stuff touches what the Fractal units can do, but it more so comes down to what you're utilizing each for. The appeal of the Neural plugins are a record/mix-ready package out of the gate but I would think most find it cumbersome to utilize them in a live setting. That is where the Fractal units will far outweigh the Neural in practicality.

It's a C sus 2 chord, but keep in mind Tom plays with a different tuning. That fingering looks quite impossible in normal tuning. He's playing root, fifth, 2nd, 7th, root. He is playing 8-10-x-7-11-7 in this tuning: E-A-D-G-C-F, so in standard tuning you'd have to play 8-10-x-7-12-8 which means you can't use your index finger for both the G and high E string.

Eh, let me know when they start doing pedal releases. I've got the amps I want and am happy, I'd only pay for stuff like digital reproductions of earthquaker devices etc. Astral Destiny etc At the moment these releases are eh, another 3 amps that produce very similar tones to previous releases and the same/similar grouping of pedals.

I think you're mistaken. My Archetype Henson (VST3) sitting at 0.68% CPU max. And that's with the Multivoicer. At about 0.3% without the multivoicer. That's cheap CPU use.

When the reviewers of the plugin PLAY WAY MUCH BETTER than the actual dude whose name is stamped on the plugin! 🤣 Tom Quayle and McRocklin had made amazing reviews of this and Tim Henson doesn't even come close to their skills, also, they do NOT need to quantize and edit every note by recording slow and speeding up as Tim Henson does as he's the classic example of "fake guitarists"
