I really needed this! Right at the beginning when you said “some players struggle with getting lost playing legato, not harmonically but rhythmically,” I enthusiastically raised my hand! Once I get lost I’ll tend to just speed up and play too fast since the muscle memory is there, which only makes things worse when I end the phrase and have no idea where I am rhythmically. Looking forward to practicing this!

I just don't understand why this video only got 8k views! Oh come on KZbin!! The way you control the algorithm just to reduce views is ridiculous 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️. This is such a great sounding pedal and amazing guitar playing 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

It sounds great and Tom is one of my fav players, but I wish he would turn off the synth effect so you could more clearly hear the tone of the guitar. Beautiful instrument though, with lots of bells and whistles.

How do you make the metronome play during a recording session? I am familiar with the different setting (Rhythm, tempo, etc.). But the metronome sound stops once I go into recording mode. What am I doing wrong? How do I make it produce the metronome sound during the recording session? I want to hear the tap-tap-tap sound of the metronome while I'm recording....

Fractal happy user since 2018 with AX8, currently owner of the FM9. During these years i purchased also amps and pedals...and everytime same question: "why i did it?" I really love Fractal products....there are many digital devices out there but nothing is constantly improved as Fractal.

Your video finally helped me understand your system better. The webpage still made me wonder if I should invest. If it was $50 instead of $250 I wouldn't be researching so hard. This seems to be the exact same way I learned my way around the piano when I studied jazz. It worked for me on piano to simplify the understanding and learning of all the modes, etc... Thanks for applyling this type of system to the guitar. I'm getting closer to investing. This type of system really worked for me on piano.

I thought you would bring up the bend to pitch vibrato. That gives a much fuller vibrato to me as the note goes both sharp and flat and need some level of control over what you're doing to sound convincing.

I love using that classical type vibrato too. In a lot of settings that are not as «rock» I find its sound fits better.

When he says it’s based on the SD1 and the 5150 understand these are jumping off points to create a different sounding pedal. It does not sounds like a 5150 or an SD1. It’s in the ballpark tho. I own both and love them.

Same as how a classical guitarist would do Vibrato on a Nylon string guitar.

The first vibrato style originated from violinists, and the second vibrato style came from sitarists, as far as I know. Once again, thank you for the inspiring lesson. You are the best, Tom 🙏
