You can't really count on the bouys, they tend to be turned off more often than not. You have to check each one to see if they're even on. I live in Florida and the one off our coast was off during the LaPalma eruption.

Thank you Mary. That’s a lot of earthquakes and is extremely concerning. There seems to be too many from the New Madrid too. I’m always surprised to hear of one along the northern Kansas and Nebraska border though. That doesn’t happen very often which tells me the we’re moving. I can hear a sadness in your voice and I hope you can find a place of your own soon. I live on minimum means too and it’s not easy finding an affordable housing. I actually got 2 notifications from MyShake in RioDell: one at 11:22 and another at 11:23. The first was for a 4.9; second said 5.4. I slept thru both. Online only reporting one quake 🤷‍♀️

Right after the other big one in the ocean out there is when the New Madrid on Dec 9th had all those smaller quakes. Kind of concerning. Btw, anyone else out there under FOG? Very Weird. Seems like whole southeast is under fog all the way to Oklahoma.

Funny thing look on google earth and see the part San Andreas fault in the ocean it not what it seams. why on the north side of it is it 2 to 3 thousand foot lower for 2000 miles. Then if you zoom out slowly you see it, it looks like a subduction zone. You can see the growth plates and it out line it look like two very streched tringles back to back in the middle 38 38 04 N 152 08 17 W. It ends just south of the Cascade subduction zone on one side. All the earthquakes are on the eastern side where it ends. You don't have to be a USBS worker to wonder what that is.

I'm here in Lassen county this is a couple of days later and I'm in Susanville and I'm feeling these low rumbles like just a little jostles that you can and they don't last very long it's like rolling through like underneath you I'm real sensitive to earthquakes so you know it's like okay can you give some insight do you think this is a preserve for maybe that big thing down in the middle of California called you know the San Andreas fault cumming unscrewed on us
